[Bug 932731] [NEW] Problems with windows management
Public bug reported: When working with multiple 'virtual-desktops' or monitors the launcher and 'alt+tab' is nor working properlly with the opened windows, causing an incorrect counting and displays of the opened windows. For example, with thunderbird, or firefox, or even nautilus, with you mange these windows for diferent desktops enviroments, the count and displays of these windows are wrong or missing when you click in the launcher to show all the windows opened in a minimized fullscreen display. So we get lost windows, and have to avoid minizing but yes resize all windows and manually search for these windows. I've found a way to 'handle' the bug, and make changes as I wished, and have my sound back. 1 - To access the control-center. # sudo gnome-control-center There you make the changes, and your user stills affected. 2 - To have the sound back... # sudo apt-get install dkms #sudo reboot After reboot the sound must be back. Didn't worked for me... and i'm tired to reporting diferent bugs anytime. LOL.. Thanks Marcel, i didn't knew that, i 'll read about tags in the 'wiki- tags'. :D I still think that my workaround is more simple ... than install a 'strange' package, I used solutions entirelly suported, like dkms, and recommended for Intel HDA to adjust the kernel to my audio device (if i'm right about what it does), and sudo + control center, that I think it is not a big deal... but whatever it is working for all of us, lets enjoy our favorite Youtube stuff, and MP3 were we can. [Bug 888480] [NEW] My windows, specially from config modules and similars are hard to use
Public bug reported: Hello Sirs! After 5 or 6 updates ago in Unity, I've felt this problem, but I thought i could be easily resolved in the next updates, but now, I think, one month has passed and nothing changes. My problem is simples but probably i'm an idiot. LOL Like this image (http://imgur.com/74XTT) every config window, or software with layouts of the same kind, i can't see the options, until my window reaches 2 or 3 virtual desktops on resizing it. Its a really pain in the knee, when I try to change any config, or schedule something, or download new packages who uses this kind of window layout, and I have to huge resize the window just to see the options, i have other examples if anyone need. I am not sure if here is the right place to report this problem, or to get the solution, yet. But it was the first place that came into mu mind, since the problem began after an upgrade. i'm waiting for some contact, or an ask to provide more information. [Bug 985144] Re: Multiple File Copy I/O Failure 12.04 Precise Pangolin
My problem has this particularity, all files with this problem were create by deja dup, in a Perfect State NTFS external HD. I can access, copy, or move any file, except the created by deju dup. And after trying access (read in fact) one of this files the reading of the HD becomes irresponsible. (same error above). Tried all scans, fixes, windows fixes in this NTFS system, but the only problem is: if I try to read one of these files, the problem start, else I do everything i ever did with this unit, no problem. No badsector, in a bizarre way, the extern drives becomes unreadable, in Windows, Ubuntu, text mode linuxes, USB or Hard connected. This backup are really important to me . [Bug 950655] Re: Libreoffice's Icons is missing from launcher
No... I've removed, purged, done everything possible in my profile, nothing seems change, I even done the icons 'manually' (copying the code from /usr/share/applications, and paste in gedit, and then save like LibreOffice *.desktop) again... And when I did this, the icons are not more showed in launcher, when application is started with a bank new file, or activate by opening an already existent file. It's a complete mess... [Bug 1033616] [NEW] Unity Crashes with wine
Public bug reported: While running Logmein Rescue, through wine, then I found out that running any application from wine, and even just wine opened with any application and the exchange of windows constantly, causing the redraw of them, crashes unity. I've tryied all workarounds possible, but nothing worked. This is the error message, when running unity --replace from terminal until error happens again. The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 60390 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) I don't have a picture... but is exactly when unity crashes during use and do not replace itself. No 'top window bars', and menus, no Alt+TAB, no launcher.
