[Bug 932731] [NEW] Problems with windows management

2012-02-15 Thread JrZabott
Public bug reported:

When working with multiple 'virtual-desktops' or monitors the launcher and
'alt+tab' is nor working properlly with the opened windows, causing an
incorrect counting and displays of the opened windows.
For example, with thunderbird, or firefox, or even nautilus, with you mange
these windows for diferent desktops enviroments, the count and displays of
these windows are wrong or missing when you click in the launcher to show all
the windows opened in a minimized fullscreen display.
So we get lost windows, and have to avoid minizing but yes resize all windows
and manually search for these windows.

[Bug 933240] Re: hud-service crashed with SIGSEGV

2012-02-15 Thread JrZabott

** Description changed:

+ Like asked in the http://www.theorangenotebook.com/2012/02/unity-54
+ -whats-new-and-call-for-testing.html - I am using Unity 5.4.
+
  Hud is crashing entire unity.

Launcher gets stuck, and when you try to use it, the command to exchange
to another application tries to open a new one. Or open a 'new icon'
with another process, like shift key pressed.

The up and down key are not reponsive as proper.

Te search in HUD is very unnacurate...

The propose is fantastic, i'm amazed, but it has a lot of bugs...
  annoynig ones...

Search in HUD is making my computer not repond sometimes with simple
searchs like quit, and more complicated ones, is going good.

HUD is having problems to change his focus to another applications, like
firefox on focus, then thunderbird or nautilus, even with the first
closed it keeps his focus, sometims 'til logoff...

[Bug 932446] Re: [sound-nua] gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_tree_model_get_valist()

2012-02-17 Thread JrZabott
I've found a way to 'handle' the bug, and make changes as I wished, and
have my sound back.

1 - To access the control-center.

# sudo gnome-control-center

There you make the changes, and your user stills affected.

2 - To have the sound back...

# sudo apt-get install dkms

#sudo reboot

After reboot the sound must be back.

This worked... Hope help the other eleven people with the same problem.

[Bug 932446] Re: [sound-nua] gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_tree_model_get_valist()

2012-02-18 Thread JrZabott
Didn't worked for me... and i'm tired to reporting diferent bugs
anytime. LOL..

Thanks Marcel, i didn't knew that, i 'll read about tags in the 'wiki-
tags'. :D

I still think that my workaround is more simple ... than install a 'strange'
package, I used solutions entirelly suported, like dkms, and recommended for
Intel HDA to adjust the kernel to my audio device (if i'm right about what it
does), and sudo + control center, that I think it is not a big deal... but
whatever it is working for all of us, lets enjoy our favorite Youtube stuff,
and MP3 were we can. LOL...

Thanks for the workaround. =)

[Bug 855171] Re: libnss3.so went missing after upgrade

2011-09-20 Thread JrZabott
That was really fun...

First i've tried to load manually by: sudo nm-applet...
Nothing happened..

So, i've resintalled the missing library... and then...

sudo NetworkManager, and it was cool...

That was completelly stupid I admit... But what can I do!? I'm a damm
lost newbie, and it worked... so please don't point fingers on me.

[Bug 950655] [NEW] Libreoffice's Icons is missing from launcher

2012-03-09 Thread JrZabott
Public bug reported:

Hey Guys, i'm here again, because my icons from libreffice are gone from
the launcher after an update sometime ago, and by this I wanna meant
hat: Not the accelerators are missing, but any icons, even when the
program is opened, is show nothing, but a blank space, when I press
Alt+Tab is show nothing but a blank space, when I right click on the
'blank space' in launcher, it show me only options to quit, or lock in
launcher, with the 'name' field blank. I've tried the basic:

apt-get remove
apt-get remove --purge
apt-get install

aptitude purge
aptitude install
aptitude reinstall

Manually create on my launcher folder accelerators, it creates
accelerators, but when the softare was open, it open in the 'black
space' cited before.

Any extra information just ask, and plz say how to obtain.

[Bug 888480] [NEW] My windows, specially from config modules and similars are hard to use

2011-11-10 Thread JrZabott
Public bug reported:

Hello Sirs!

After 5 or 6 updates ago in Unity, I've felt this problem, but I
thought i could be easily resolved in the next updates, but now, I
think, one month has passed and nothing changes. My problem is simples
but probably i'm an idiot. LOL

Like this image (http://imgur.com/74XTT) every config window, or
software with layouts of the same kind, i can't see the options, until
my window reaches 2 or 3 virtual desktops on resizing it.

Its a really pain in the knee, when I try to change any config, or
schedule something, or download new packages who uses this kind of
window layout, and I have to huge resize the window just to see the
options, i have other examples if anyone need. I am not sure if here is
the right place to report this problem, or to get the solution, yet. But
it was the first place that came into mu mind, since the problem began
after an upgrade.

i'm waiting for some contact, or an ask to provide more information.

Thank all of you since now,

Daniel

[Bug 985144] Re: Multiple File Copy I/O Failure 12.04 Precise Pangolin

2012-06-28 Thread JrZabott
My problem has this particularity, all files with this problem were
create by deja dup, in a Perfect State NTFS external HD.

I can access, copy, or move any file, except the created by deju dup. And after
trying access (read in fact) one of this files the reading of the HD becomes
irresponsible. (same error above).
Tried all scans, fixes, windows fixes in this NTFS system, but the only problem
is: if I try to read one of these files, the problem start, else I do
everything i ever did with this unit, no problem. No badsector, in a bizarre
way, the extern drives becomes unreadable, in Windows, Ubuntu, text mode
linuxes, USB or Hard connected. This backup are really important to me
.
Plz help. =)

[Bug 950655] Re: Libreoffice's Icons is missing from launcher

2012-06-14 Thread JrZabott
No...

I've removed, purged, done everything possible in my profile, nothing
seems change, I even done the icons 'manually' (copying the code from
/usr/share/applications, and paste in gedit, and then save like
LibreOffice *.desktop) again... And when I did this, the icons are
not more showed in launcher, when application is started with a bank new
file, or activate by opening an already existent file.

It's a complete mess... I don't know what to do anymore, I've searched
in any bug related, in google, in forums, no one seem to have a solution
to my problem.

Hope you can help me.

[Bug 1033616] [NEW] Unity Crashes with wine

2012-08-06 Thread JrZabott
Public bug reported:

While running Logmein Rescue, through wine, then I found out that running any
application from wine, and even just wine opened with any application and the
exchange of windows constantly, causing the redraw of them, crashes unity. I've
tryied all workarounds possible, but nothing worked.
This is the error message, when running unity --replace from terminal until
error happens again.

The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 60390 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

I don't have a picture... but is exactly when unity crashes during use and do
not replace itself. No 'top window bars', and menus, no Alt+TAB, no launcher.

[Bug 939161] Re: Hardware not showed in Gnome-Control-Center. - [M31EI Series, Realtek ALC861, Green Headphone Out, Rear]

2012-09-07 Thread JrZabott
Seriously... Sorry for write this out...
But I don't need jack detection... I don't need nothing else than a piece of
code that fix this bug, I can even backup it and be the official redistrbutor
of this. =)
In my Ubuntu 11.10 all worked perfectly, 12.04 no... I'm already thinking about
upgrade to 12.10 (as I always do, testing the alphas and betas) but i'm affraid
that no workaround will be available...

I am not so sure if this problem is really intricates, as I told ya,
this thing works fine with sudo, but not with the random users. Maybe a
'local solution' a workaround for type X and Y of some motherboards? An
answer on askubuntu? lol

[Bug 939161] Re: Hardware not showed in Gnome-Control-Center. - [M31EI Series, Realtek ALC861, Green Headphone Out, Rear]

2012-09-07 Thread JrZabott
Dears Sirs...

$filepath = /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output-
headphones.conf

Mine $filepath file, already is like described:

; [Jack Headphone]
; required-any = any

And problem persists. =)

I know that I am being a pain in the 'leg' for ya... But I'd like to
make things work... And it sounds huge above my average knowloedge,
otherway I would be happy to help.
