[Bug 1656830] [NEW] No DNS resolution caused by systemd-resolved
Public bug reported: This is something new in Ubuntu 17.04. Whenever I boot up or upon returning from sleep, I don't have DNS resolution available. What I have to do is go and shutdown systemd-resolved (sudo service systemd-resolved stop) and edit /etc/resolv.conf to point to 192.168.1.1 (my router) instead of 127.0.0.53. Then everything works peachy. Otherwise any DNS resolution attempt will result in SERVFAIL. Since this is a major issue out of the box and I don't see any other bug report on this yet, I wanted to report it. This happens both on my laptop and my desktop PC, so it's not something strange on a single machine, but since no one else is complaining about it yet, it may be related to my network configuration. My router forwards DNS requests to an ODROID C2 on the same subnet, which then does the DNS resolution via dnsmasq. Dnsqmasq is set up to forward the requests to multiple DNS servers and respond with whichever one was fastest. [Bug 1476342] [NEW] Feature request: Copy variable
Public bug reported: It would be nice if PSPP would support copying of variables. Example: I have a questionnaire that has several items with the same answer options only the wording of the question needs to be changed. If I go to 'Variable View' and try to copy an existing variable with all its data defined I'm not able to paste it. It's currently only possible to insert a new empty variable anywhere in between or at the end of the variable table. It would be excellent if the option 'insert variable' would be supported. A comment on "I'm doubtful this fix will be backported to 14.04 because it's actually an odd case." For me there was nothing odd. I did straight backup and then tried a restore. [Bug 781977] [NEW] Suspend only works once, fails second time
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pm-utils had this problem now since 10.10 64 bit, and I was hoping it would go away in Natty 64 bit, but it didn't. In short: Suspend only works once, the second attempt at a suspend results in the monitor going blank as it was entering suspend, but the computer still running, as evidenced by the hard drive and fans still running. The computer can then not be awaken anymore, only a hard reset and subsequent reboot returns the PC to working state. When I check for errors after the first suspend, I see the following errors in the log: Code: [ 8461.100062] ahci :05:00.0: failed to stop engine (-5) [ 8461.600062] ahci :05:00.0: failed to stop engine (-5) [ 8463.170076] ata9: failed to resume link (SControl ) [ 8463.170109] ata10: failed to resume link (SControl ) [ 8467.510109] ata9: failed to resume link (SControl ) [ 8467.510163] ata10: failed to resume link (SControl ) So it seems to me that it has something to do with AHCI. I searched for this error in the forum, but I could not find anything. I also tried various suggestions, such as using uswsusp and the hibernate scripts, and including ahci in the suspend module lust. But each of the result in the exact same behavior: First suspend works fine, second suspend fails and reset is necessary. Does the git version work with the system lib qca as well? As I said the problem only occurs if you use not the bundled libqca and qca-gnupg. So either it's a bug in Psi 0.12 oder the libqca-gnupg. [Bug 334457] [NEW] libpango1.0-0: /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0.2002.3 contains RPATH setting
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libpango1.0-0 /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0.2002.3 contains an RPATH setting, causing third party software like sugar-jhbuild to fail under certain circumstances (see [1] for an example of problems caused by this - the actual bug caused by libpango1.0-0 is a similar, but different one). Debians current opinion on rpath [2] seems to be that it should NOT be set, except under very rare circumstances. I haven't tested whether Debians packages contain the rpath setting as well, so it might be an upstream packaging bug. Steps to reproduce: 1. install chrpath 2. chrpath -l /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0.2002.3 Results: /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0.2002.3: RPATH=/usr/lib Expected: no rpath setting [1] http://dev.sugarlabs.org/ticket/111 [2] http://wiki.debian.org/RpathIssue ** Affects: pango1.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- libpango1.0-0: /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0.2002.3 contains RPATH setting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/334457 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 334457] Re: libpango1.0-0: /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0.2002.3 contains RPATH setting
I noticed the issue on Ubuntu intrepid. [Bug 367317] Re: unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty
I got the same problems on amd64, too. On another system with xubuntu 9.04 and i386 I only have had a problem with the scrollbar which does not behave as expected. Have you tried both architectures with the same effects? The problems especially occur when I go online and there's a lot of xml messages between server and client. Then mostly the contactlist just didn't get updated after a while. -- unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367317 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 367317] Re: unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty
According to http://forum.psi-im.org/post/35562 support for qt version 4.5 (which was shipped with jaunty) is incompatible with the current psi version 0.12. The support for Qt 4.5 is planned for version 0.13. -- unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367317 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 323857] Re: [LENOVO ThinkPad X200] suspend/resume problem
I also have a problem with resuming. Almost reproducible every other time I open my lid the screen stays black. The "moon" stays on and I have to press the power button for several seconds to really switch the box off. i don't know where to look nor what to attach, but will try to answer quickly to any requests. Desperation even lead me to upgrading - with no soothe thought - to 9.04 My kernel version is: Ubuntu 2.6.28-11.42-generic -- [LENOVO ThinkPad X200] suspend/resume problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323857 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 367317] Re: unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty (qt incompability?)
I tried to reproduce the problem on several i386 Ubuntu installations with all my accounts, but never got the same behaviour. Due I only have my laptop with x86_64 Architecture I reinstalled it with a fresh ubuntu 9.04 and got the same error. Even a new ~/.psi-folder didn't help. In the meanwhile I compiled Psi 0.12.1 out of the box and got no problems. [Bug 356133] Re: [jaunty] vesa driver stopped working (no devices found) inside KVM after X update
Care to elaborate why a host-side change is necessary? In my case, the host isn't running Ubuntu, so whether or not it gets into jaunty is irrelevant. -- [jaunty] vesa driver stopped working (no devices found) inside KVM after X update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356133 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
