[Bug 252178] [NEW] Incorrect used memory reported by system-monitor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor Hi, I've seen the bugs listed on the launchpad before writing this. There is a significant difference in the used memory reported by top/free and gnome-system-monitor. I'm using Ubuntu 8.4 and updated till todays date. I;ve 2GB of ram on my laptop. running top / free reports, that 1.5 GB is used while at the same time, system-monitor reports on y 436MB is used and rest is free. Its really consistent, every time I run top / free, I get same number and at the same time running system-monitor reports way to less.? Can something be done about this? Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz Cannot drag-drop things between different applications on startup (Ubuntu-Classic Session). Eg: When I drag a .mp3 file to the banshee tab in the bottom panel, it just stays with a + sign over the banshee icon, banshee does not get selected while dragging the file. If I drop it there, it gets added to the panel. However, if i do 'compiz --replace' in the terminal, it starts working after that. And I have to replace after every boot. My compiz was in the default settings so I don't think any changes might be the reason for that.
