[Bug 342775] Re: When I connect Huawei E220 mobile broadband modem, 3G mobile modem connection appears twice.
The problem is still there in 9.04 beta. Upon plugging in, two dialogs appear to ask me about preset settings. I close one then i choose Poland-Play Online. Two entries are created, and it won't connect despite numerous tries. Don't know what commands to use or diagnoscs, so please tell me and i'll provide you with their output. -- When I connect Huawei E220 mobile broadband modem, 3G mobile modem connection appears twice. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342775 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 267658] Re: Azalia sound doesn't work at all
@Leann Ogasawara Ok, so i dl'ed it and burned. I haven't installed it, as i have no possibility of installing it right now, will update it in a few days when i install it. For now, Ubuntu beta, booted from livecd + ALC660 = nope, it doesn't. And that's where it begins to be funny. I can't start terminal, so no errmessages, no alsa-checking. I have a can't start gnome-terminal. Imput/output error error. When i have the possibility to install it to HDD, i'll check further. If i can't start the terminal then, i make a new bug entry here. If i can, i'll check all the setting, and will try changing alsa-base.conf file. -- Azalia sound doesn't work at all https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267658 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 267658] Re: Azalia sound doesn't work at all
Ok, e.lamskoy, i tried to do what you;ve said. And i'd say, i was finally able to make the GODDAMN sound card work! There are some problems, but not with the sound, but rather, with something i'd call 'general look. It boots ok, but there are 3 error messages (i can't read them, it flashes too soon, first is BAR6: address space collision, second is Ata1: softreset failed, and the third is Can't find a suitable fs in /proc/, is it mounted? ) Then, when gnome boots up, there's no wallpaper for about 10 seconds, but a black screen and two gnome bars. So, i'd love to get something about these problems, as although they're not important at all, they just annoy me. Also, i'd love to see the solution added to the mainstream linux distributions / linux kernel (frankly, i don't know where it should go?). By the way, two notes to e.lamskoy. First, i couldn't find modprobe.conf. I added the line to /modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf Second, when i tried to find it, i couldn't find modprobe.conf, but i found noAlsa.modprobe.conf and noOSS.modprobe.conf. Thinking there was a problem there (dunno why) i erased everything in the file. What these two files are for? Although sound works anyway, i'm curious. -- Azalia sound doesn't work at all https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267658 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 267658] [NEW] Azalia sound doesn't work at all
Public bug reported: Distro - Ubuntu 8.10 Alpha 5 Ok, so my sound card in my Asus a7u 7s004c (detected as Azalia) works wery strange, or rather, i shall say, doesn't work at all. No sound can be heard from speakers nor when using headphones. I can mute, vol-, vol+ using fuction buttons. Tested by playing the examples. None of the earlier versions of ubuntu could play anything, back to Edgy. Very strange thing is, i decided to play that robot game. And, when teleporting or when winning a round, i can hear some sort of strange static for about 1 second in headphones. The static is different when teleporting than when winning, so i assume as if the soundcard tried to play something, but failed.
