[Bug 572951] Re: wake-up from suspend-to-RAM ends with blackscreen
I tried to install 2.6.33-3 but with this, fglrx coudln't be configured after install so it was unusable. I uninstalled it, removed fglrx (I had to change "xserver-xorg-fglrx" to "fglrx" in /var/lib/dpkg/diversions to uninstall it), again installed fglrx from lucid repository, ran "ati-config --initial -f" from terminal and voila!... suspend to ram and rebooting works again OK. I am very satisfied with Kubuntu, I love it (gnome or KDE version) but tell me honestly - do you think it was OK i had to do this? I ran upgrade to 10.04 on 4 computers and on all of them I had problems during upgrade and big problems after it (uninstalled plasma-desktop etc.). How I could imagine I have to change line in /var/lib/dpkg/diversions? Or why installation via jockey still doesn't work? And why without properly working fglrx drivers reboot and suspend to ram doesn't working? Look, I like configuring etc. but all of my friends, who now uses 10.04 (upgraded by me from 9.10) wouldn't do it, because it is just complicated and the solution is very hard to find even for me, they would just say "Ubuntu is crap, give me the old good windows without so complicated commands in terminal..." :// ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- wake-up from suspend-to-RAM ends with blackscreen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572951 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 522395] [NEW] Cannot write czech letters after update
Public bug reported: I updated my Kubuntu 9.10 x64, KDE4.4, kernel 2.6.31.19. I use czech and czech keyboard. But there aren´t all of special czech letters (ě,š,č,ř,ž,ý,á,í,é etc.) It is normal to type them by pushing the button with up-comma and then for example e,s,c,r etc. But after this update, it broke and if I wanna to type the long "o" (ó), it writes ´o ... [Bug 1273671] Re: Unity DASH is confusing for newbie
Well, I used two "somethings", is it too much for you? So before I will try to make some mockup...I will try to explain it more. A) there is a plenty of space all around, but mainly, when you hover your pointer on DASH, it slightly changes the background to some with more opacity, where there is something clickable. But in the finall it looks wierd, when you can click in the right side and open the button on the left side with it. But OK, I cannot say it it the wrong way, BUT... The problem is - DASh is divided into rectangles, but do not show it to a customer - user, he has to find it by himself and that can be really confusing. B) DASH cannot use blank space. Please look at http://180016988.r.cdn77.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Menu_019.png , there is a lot of space between "Weather" text and "Weather channel" icon for example. Shrink it or place there some separator (shiny white bar for example, but this way it is just ugly. Take a look at OMGUbuntu.co.uk article: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/06/os-x-10-10-feature-ubuntu-already And to the screenshot: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/wp- content/uploads/2014/06/f1401729844-750x420.jpg You guys really are not catching the train, hurry up, or they will override not only your DASH, but all convergence system at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1273671 Title: Unity DASH is confusing for newbie To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1273671/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
