Bonjour, Quelqu'un a-t-il une idée pour expliquer ce qui m'est arrivé et pour m'en sortir? J'ai un Acer 5050 roulant sous Ubuntu 7.10 (parce qu'avec 8.04, j'ai des problèmes). Ma carte est une Atheros AR5006EG. J'utilise madwifi. Mon routeur est un Belkin. Depuis des mois, ça baigne, tout simplement. Or voilà que mercredi soir dernier, alors que je naviguais comme de coutume sur le web, soudain, plus de connexion. Quelques vérifications que j'ai faites: iwconfig atteste de la présence de ath0. Dans la fenêtre des Réglages du réseau, ma connexion sans fil est affichée, active et le essid du routeur est reconnu. La commande dmesg |grep ath0 me retourne ath0: no IPv6 routers present. Je ne sais pas si ce message existait lorsque ma connexion fonctionnait. Le problème n'est pas dans la configuration actuelle de mon système. J'ai rebooté sur un backup datant d'il y a un mois alors que tout marchait bien et j'ai le même résultat: plus de connexion. C'est ma carte? C'est mon routeur? Si non, faites-en un d'une trentaine de paquets, afin d'avoir un résultat significatif si celui-ci n'est pas le résultat. Can I suggest the MSI Wind (or rebadged as the Advent 4211). zombie after startup
hi all, for quite a while now I've been having one or sometimes 2 zombie processes showing in my system monitor I tried to kill them using the system monitor. I tried killall and PID but everything I tried did not work. After reboot the zombie is back. PID is always 6000 if that matters. How can I investigate what causes this zombie and how can I kill it. A shell is the zombie... reading your link tells me that the problem could be a device driver. From what I remember I did not attach any new devices to my notebook, everything I use now I used when I installed hardy. I did though do some changes to installed software, my feeling is ever since I set up tracker to crawl my files the zombie was there, but I can't tell for sure. Another thing is that since I have the zombie (or two) I clicking on the clock/date left of the log out/shut down the panel seems to crash or slow every thing down. the menu with calendar and the locations won't even open. The subject says it all. midi WAS working before. Now it has ceased to work. Bruno, Acredito que normalmente, se marcada a ordenação por assunto, automaticamente o Evolution classificaria todas as mensagens por assunto, inclusive as novas. Não tenho como testar isto até porque, além de não manter os mails no Evolution (salvo-os fora do programa), a quantidade que recebo não me daria um resultado para essa questão. Mas crio que há algum problema na sua instalação do Evolution, talvez uma dependência excluida ou algo assim, pois minha ordenação por data ou de funciona perfeitamente, o que daria para concluir que a por assunto não seria diferente. Note que algumas funções do Evolution estão relacionadas ao pacote do OpenOffice e, se alguma coisa foi retirada deste, afetou o outro. No seu caso, eu faria o backup do Evolution, procederia a remoção completa e o reinstalaria, restaurando o backup em seguida. Reveja as configurações e os plugins ativos. Eu utilizo o Evolution desde o 7.04 e, sinceramente, considero-o perfeito, ainda não constatei nenhuma falha na sua execução (a não ser as bobeiras de usuário habituais). Faça com calma, refaço o programa e veja no que dá. Salles (Nethell). Thiago, Não sei se será útil mas, embora não tenha executado nada parecido, o Evolution possui uma agenda que te permite executar ações pré-determinadas (veja agendas e tarefas). Para que os destinatários não se vejam uns aos outros, você pode simplesmente coloca-los todos em CCO (Ocultos). Eu faço isto manualmente em caso de alguma mala direta (200 destinatários, no máximo), utilizando o remetente, uma conta específica que criei para controlar os envios que entra como destinatário (tipo E-Mail Sender Control) e os demais em cco. Não sei se ajuda, mas é uma idéia. Verifique nos tutoriais do Evolution como devem ser inseridas as tarefas, não faço idéia de como funciona esta opção. Galera, eu tenho um HP pavilion dv6707us, ele veio com o vista, mas nunca rodei o vista e instalei o ubuntu 7.10 por cima total.. Porém, um belo dia quando fui plugar um headfone, percebi que o som da caixa do notebook não ficava mudo, mas também saia no headfone. Daí, fui nos controles do som, mas não vi nenhuma opção para o headfone. Tinha apenas o meste e o pcm. Pessoal, sou novo no ambiente linux... antes de postar alguma coisa procurei em muitos foruns e não consegui ter uma definição. Problema é o seguinte. instalei ubuntu 8.05 num amd duron 1.2 com placa de video sis 630 , não ativou os recursos extras para 3d. então tinha uma plaquinha parada ati rage 128 pro. instalei ela conforme tutoriais usando o drivre r128, só que o glxinfo | grep render diz no como habilitar os recursos 3d desta placa para funcionar as janela pegando fogo e cubo vi também em outros foruns que está versão do ubunti é mais lenta. antes instalei o kubuntu 6.10 e ele ficava mais rapido nesta maquina. Mas você vai ter que escolher entre usar uma máquina menos potente ou os efeitos 3d! Não se pode ter tudo, amigo! Se o glxinfo diz que não há suporte para o direct rendering, acho difícil que rode o 3d, talvez se você encontrar um driver que forneça a capacidade. Tenho a seguinte situação: MATRIZ servidor Linux com o openvpn instalado e configurado, recebe o IP abaixo no tun0. inet end.: 10.0.0.1 P-a-P:10.0.0.2 Masc:255.255.255.255 Esse servidor é gateway da rede. Por que essa máscara ? Não era pra ser 255.0.0.0 ? FILIAL Conexão a cabo compartilhada por um router wireless. Dentro da LAN tenho uma máquina windows XP com o openvpn client instalado e configurado. Essa máquina recebe o IP 10.0.0.2. Também com a máscara 255.255.255.255. Não sei por que. --- A conexão da filial via vpn com a matriz funciona numa boa. Primeiro, eu suspeito que o totem e o kaffeine conseguem abrir arquivos iso de dvds ripados. Acho que eh assim que eu faço. Diretamente da minha maquina File-Open e escolher o arquivo .iso, assim eu assisto diretamente do mplayer na sua interface grafica. Não tem nada de mágico, simples assim. Mesma coisa acontece comigo, mas o mplayer não roda legal o iso não, o kaffeine sim, perfeito, via 'open directory' onde o ISO está montado. Usually I watch them with mplayer mounting ISO image, if needed, and adding VOBs I want to watch to playlist. I was just too lazy to search and find out how to watch them as real DVDs. But today one man told me that Growing Up has cool menu and additional media (yes, it's really nice and the media is set of Tony Levin's photographs accomponied by acoustic version of one song), so I finally decided to find it out. It's really simple in fact. You can play ISOs directly with VLC or Kaffeine. You can play it with mplayer or xine if you specify the path to your ISO image in command line: xine dvd:/path/to/your/DVD/image.iso mplayer dvd://1 -dvd-device=path/to/your/DVD/image.iso The latter example will play DVD title #1. It's even easier with mplayer: mplayer DVD.iso But mplayer isn't good for watching DVDs yet. It has some support for DVD menus via libdvdnav, but it's still buggy now. VLC and kaffeine support playing DVDs from folder. You'll find that option in their menu. Xine can do this, too, but via command line, exactly in the same way as it does with ISOs, just specify the path to VIDEO_TS: xine dvd://path/to/your/DVD/VIDEO_TS/ Enjoy! Приветствую! Что-то у меня заморочка какая-то твориться на компе со временем... Никак не могу понять, в чем проблема. Когда компьютер перезагружается частенько - все нормально. Так как при запуске компа вызывается ntpdate и производиться синхронизация времени. Долгое время был установлен пакет ntp, предоставляющий возможность тонкой настройки синхронизации... И как я понимаю в нем была загвоздка. Компьютер в аптайме более четырех дней и расхождение во времени в 3 минуты, случайно заметил... По телевизору... В конфиге /etc/ntp.conf прописаны ряд серверов, первый - сервер провайдера, далее пул российских адресов. Команда ntpq -p выдавала следующее: remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter == europium.canoni .INIT. 16 u- 6400.0000.000 0.000 c249.colo.hc.ru .INIT. 16 u- 6400.0000.000 0.000 ns.mipt.ru .INIT. 16 u- 6400.000 0.000 0.000 ntp.igr.ru .INIT. 16 u- 6400.000 0.000 0.001 oriental.cordsy .INIT. 16 u- 6400.000 0.000 0.001 Судя по тому, что нашел в инете, значение st равное 16 указывает на недоступность сервера... Соответственно значение, которое заносит ntpd в /var/lib/ntp/ntp.drift оставалось без изменения и равнялось 0... Сейчас снес пока пакет ntp, и синхронизацию осуществляю с помощью тупового вызова ntpdate с помощью cron... Однако и тут столкнулся со странностями. Если вызываю команду с сервером провайдера - все нормально, а при использовании пула или стороннего сервера получаю от ntpdate следующее сообщение: 25 Jul 13:17:01 ntpdate[23771]: no server suitable for synchronization found Думаю, может быть в этом загвоздка не рабочего ntp? Нигде не встретил информации о подобных ошибках... Соответственно значение, которое заносит ntpd в /var/lib/ntp/ntp.drift оставалось без изменения и равнялось 0... Сейчас снес пока пакет ntp, и синхронизацию осуществляю с помощью тупового вызова ntpdate с помощью cron... Однако и тут столкнулся со странностями. Если вызываю команду с сервером провайдера - все нормально, а при использовании пула или стороннего сервера получаю от ntpdate следующее сообщение: 25 Jul 13:17:01 ntpdate[23771]: no server suitable for synchronization found Думаю, может быть в этом загвоздка не рабочего ntp? Нигде не встретил информации о подобных ошибках... Да, что-то я немного прогнал тут... Для udp нет понятия сессии... А на счет openntpd - понятия не имею, как он работает. Написано только, что это форк проекта из openbsd. 2/ openvpn is configured to run as openvpn user out-of-the-box in Gutsy, and when you upgrade to hardy it runs as root. Case number 2. Hi, some feedback about the patches.
Does it matter if call_failure_hooks is allways called?
mdadm --run --scan will start all arrays degraded not only the one needed for
the rootfs (and its lvm and crypt respectively).
It will start for example a partial array from a removable disk that was
attatched and hasn't been forgotten when the computer was turned off. Remember
starting an array degraded means it will also start degraded next time. To
prevent accidential degration and sideeffect just start the required arrays
with mdadm --run /dev/mdX or even better by UUID.
This means of course we need to know the required array in initramfs.
Another point are required non-root filesystems, like a /home array that
needs to startdegraded.
We need a way to configure non-root raid devices to startdegraded
anyway, so this configuration could as well be used (hooked into
initramfs like the cryptroot script does) for the root device. (The
bootdegraded kernel parameter might not be neccesary then.)
A regular init.d script (like the former mdadm-raid or mdadm-degreade)
can handle the non-root startdegraded devices.
Instead of fixed sleep 5 in init-premount/mdadm, you could introduce a check
timeout loop after call_failure_hooks in the local script. (So we can resume
booting ASAP.) Maybe just copy the slumber while loop from above the
call_failure_hooks.
The error output could be more informative:
Instead of Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
--If rootdelay=${VARIABLE} is not long enough, customize kernel parameter.

I agree that my patch might start more degraded raids than someone may
necessarily want, but the current bug and the current issue at handle
is about providing a mechanism to configurably allow booting if a RAID
is missing a disk. This bug already has 73+ comments, and has been
around for over a year. Let's fix at least the immediate problem at
hand.
What you're talking about is going to be more complicated, and can be
handled at a later time, by subsequent patches. How about opening a
separate bug for independently allowing/disallowing each array to be
started in degraded mode?
This means of course we need to know the required array in initramfs.
Well, that part is doable for the root filesystem at least. It's
${ROOT} within the initramfs scripts.

Mais où est Big Brother?
Bonjour à tous, Sous ce terme un peu accrocheur, j'aimerai exprimer une inquiétude d'un père face aux danger d'internet pour ses filles. En fait, j'ai commencé à me tracasser, sans plus, lorsque j'ai trouvé ma plus grande sur google (à 7 ans) sans que je ne lui ai expliqué comment faire. Aujourd'hui, je m'inquiète sérieusement depuis que je l'ai surprise à surfer sur youtube (elle a 9 ans). Lorsque que je suis là, je peux encore plus ou moins l'assister et lui indiquer si elle risque d'arriver sur un site pour adultes ou non. Mais si je ne suis pas là, ma femme ne la surveille absolument pas (elle est réfractaire au monde digital). Je voudrais savoir s'il existe un vrai programme de contrôle parental pour ubuntu? Les solutions que j'ai trouvées sont trop facilement contournable (ma fille sais déjà démarrer le PC en mode recovery pour faire le reset du mot de passe de n'importe quel compte. De plus, je voudrais pouvoir également trouver le moyen de tracer tout le trafic internet (www + chat + ...) afin de vérifier qu'elle ne donne pas trop d'informations personnelles sur elle. Je sais que mes demande ne sont pas très dans la philosophie du libre, mais je préfère quand même préserver mes filles un minimun. A bientôt. Les solutions que j'ai trouvées sont trop facilement contournable (ma fille sais déjà démarrer le PC en mode recovery pour faire le reset du mot de passe de n'importe quel compte. Le contrôle parental doit être exercé par les parents. La seule solution assez fiable serait d'avoir une machine qui sert de pare-feu/proxy filtrant (avec Squid+SquidGuard) et une liste blanche de sites autorisées.
