Hi Paul, Thanks for the fast reply! No console needed, it's a device I need to talk to. Everything works fine as long as I'm on any network. But if not, initialisation of that api-object fails. That said: I don't think it needs Internet access, but it might be worth a try if it still fails inside an offline-network... Hi guys, I'm posting here because I'm still on 3.11 - but I dont' think my problem would be different on later versions. I'm runnig a python script which is started automatically via user commands on the tweaks page. It uses tty:ama0 on my RPi3, working fine usually, network is connected via onboard-wifi. But I'd like to take care of the situation where no connection can be established. That is: - no ethernet plugged in - the known SSID not in sight. First I thought it's not called because squeezelite fails starting(?), but by accident I found out it does get called - but laaate! Taking ridiculously long this is fine (for now), but my script fails at a certain point where it comes to tty:ama0 access. with a screen attached I could see the three patient attempts to get online and then enters a (sort of a) fail-state. (By the way: is there a way to get rid of these? debugging takes years ;) ) Is there a difference in how the uart is set up in that case? console re-routed? (needed to swap uarts to access an external device) Are there modules not / unloaded? Thanks, any hints appreciated! :) PS: Wouldn't it be great for most of us if it would create an adhoc network, making the configpage accessible? Maybe this could be deactivated if it's unwanted for security reasons... Yes I know - it's sad... But I have hope it'll work together some time. :-) I'm on 3.11 vanilla now, analog out wich does very well for my purposes. Tried the audio version, but there were lots of hicks and artifacts. My next issue is boot time - are there ways to get it up faster? Fast SD for starters, I guess... :-P But there may be other things? thanks - but it is what my conf is as well. I don't really know how to act with these groupbuttons "Plug" and "Card" - as we have no chance to revert them, once set... And - by the way - I have the equalizer off ;-) What exactliy am I supposed to click and do after turning off the EQ - "ok for back" or "cancel to change output setting"? What is your output setting on the squeezelite page? sysdefault:CARD=ALSA or default or Default? While fiddling around I had it once working - till the next reboot :-/ thanks for helping... Hi! first of all thanks for the latest updates! :-) BUT: coming from 3.02 (or so), I an now expieriencing mono output on the extra Asound page doesn't work anymore. I just get stereo whatever I change the settings to, and it used to be a nobrainer... Yes, "third-party triode" is the key. Spotify works like a charm, despite searches and "my music" not being synced with other devices (pray). I see, thank you for your answers. I'm working on a portable device... ;-) So I'd like to use it more or less anywhere and don't want to change everybody's security settings first. maybe I'll add another script ontop then for now :-D But Im' happy you are aware of that "problem". pCP has become so elegant, it would just be wonderful to easily add other SSIDs. Hi! I'm using picoreplayer as a fantastic and imho perfect multiroom audio solution. great fan! I'm planning a device for usage not only at home. I don't know if it's coreLinux-specific, but an option would be nice to enter information for additional SSIDs so it would connect automatically when I'm somewhere else. Adding it do wifi.db (and making a backup) didn't work. Another great feature (especially for first-time installation aswell): create an ad-hoc wifi if no (known) network is available. Actually many devices are behaving this way nowadays... Any chances of realization? All the best!
