I reinstalled PcP7 and now it is working again as it should. If someone
can verify that Jivelite is working with PcP 8.1 on a HDMI TV please
post how you made it work.
Thanks all!

I just ran into this same issue except mine was working until I clicked
Jivelite update in the PcP web interface. Jivelite no longer starts when
I boot. The splash screen pops up briefly but then the screen goes
blank. Audio via HDMI is working. I tried a fresh install of PcP 8.1 but
still a no-go.

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 6.x.x - Bluetooth

2020-12-13 Thread micmed

I have a Bose Soundlink Mini II BT speaker that I use in my kitchen.
Normally it is paired with one of the RPiZeroW's that I have running
half of my Living Room speaker systems. (Closest one) I also have it
paired with my Family Room system and it will switch between connections
when I move it out of range of the Living Room or press the BT pairing
button on the speaker. The speaker just shows up in the LMS player list
and stays synced pretty well. It works well enough to stay connected to
the Family Room even when I go to the basement.

That could be a solution however I only want to connect to the Pi in
order to change the local wifi connection. I do not desire to use the
phone as the internet connection.

Thanks Paul.
Anyone else successful getting this to work?
I installed the extension but can't find the .conf file to configure.
Sorry, I only know enough Linux to be dangerous.

[SlimDevices: Unix] Dual Wifi adapters

2020-11-28 Thread micmed

I have searched the threads and have not found an answer to this.

System - RPi4b with DAC Hat embedded into a Sony Boombox. Headless

Simply I want to use the on board Wifi (wlan0) to connect to an internet
connected AP but want to use a second USB wifi adapter (wlan1) as a RPi
WAP (or the reverse) so I can access the web interface when on the road
to change the SSID without having to SSH or remove the SD card.

I have read through the wpa_supplicant.conf docs but did not see a
solution. I know I can set up several SSID configurations however I want
to be able configure when the SSID is not known.

I apologize in advance if this has been answered. If it has I would
appreciate a link to the thread.

Hi Paul, firstly I want to say I really appreciate all the work your
team has done on this.

I followed the instructions above but I am stuck on the Limit Threshold
setting. Where do I find/change that?

Thanks

[SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 2nd Wifi USB Dongle

2020-04-14 Thread micmed

Did not find this in search so forgive me if it has been covered
before.

Will piCorePlayer recognize a second Wifi connection through a USB Wifi
dongle? I have an application where I would like to have WAP enabled for
phone control and another Wifi connection for internet access. This will
be on a Pi3B+.

Thanks

I had this same issue a couple of months back but with all sources local
and streamed. The fix was to make sure a players had same software
versions and patches installed.

Ditto to thanking the developers for such a great alternative to other
 options out there.
