Hello Kaffeesurrogat,

49152 is only "front-end" port for TURN, it is being used for orchestrating
and IP-resolving (one or both parties are using resolvable "grey" IP)
In case IP are not "resolvable" multimedia traffic is being forwarded
through TURN using below UDP port range (can be changed to be TCP)
#min-port=49152
#max-port=65535

Can you consult with your org. admin regarding ports?
I'll try to figure out how to set-up 'sort-of' one-port-config

most probably will try to consult @Konstantin Kuzov (he did mention such

Port Testting Firewalled or not ?

Dear List,

I'm having trouble to connect my cam/mic to my external server when
connecting from my workplace, Maxim assumed that my
workplaces-it-service blocked some important ports. I did the following
to test it.


1)

opening up port 49152 on my server

ls | nc -l -u -p 49152


2) from home (om is running smoothly)

sudo nmap -sU  -p 49152

command under 1) quits and nmap responds with


Host is up (0.016s latency).

PORT  STATE SERVICE
49152/udp open  unknown


3) from my workplace-pc

first: 
issuing command 1).

second:
sudo nmap -sU  -p 49152

response:
Note: Host seems down. If it is really up, but blocking our ping probes,
try -Pn


third:
sudo nmap -Pn -sU 81.169.223.177 -p 49152

response

PORT  STATE SERVICE
49152/udp open|filtered unknown


Does it confirm the assumption, that some workplace-firewall-rule blocks
my way ?

I try to list all connected users on an OM instance, the same as on the 
Webdashboard in admin/connections, but I'd like to obtain it via a 
webservice.


I didn't find the entry point in UserWebService, nor in RoomWebService, 
nor in GroupWebService.


Can you point me in the right direction?

This might be the case. I don't know and I really don't know how to
figure that out. I'm not the admin ;-)

My University rented a BBB instance which has problems with connecting
mic/cam to the server, too. Since both do use coturn/kurento you might
be right.

I guess an ordinary user with no special rights can't figure out if
those ports are open, right?

Почему мне не нравится вот это
object class 'GstAppSrc' has no property named '\u0002'
WARNING: no real random source present!
потому, что видимо не заданы или не описаны свойства usera или
объекта или … u0002  
Может и ничего страшного и все работает нормально, но незнание
этого момента  дает сомнения. 
Пока не нашел описания файлов конфигурации Kurento

KMS придётся ставить в версии Docker

(возможно
получится использовать подсистему Ubuntu, которая доступна в свежих виндах,
но сам не пробовал )
TURN я пользую coturn https://github.com/coturn/coturn

Connecting Openmeeting system through a Squid Proxy

In our OMS deployment, we want to ensure that users even behind strict
firewall and proxy should be able to join. I am using a TURN server to
relay packets over TCP on port 443. I am planning to deploy TURN on a
separate machine. So in principle OMS will need minimum port 443 to run. I
deployed a squid proxy (Version 3.5.20) for testing. I am trying to
simulate a scenario where a user is connecting OMS through the proxy.
Connections are successful but with following issues-

1. It's not working with firefox due to the failure of WSS connection. Not
a problem, I can instruct users to use only the latest Chrome browser.
2. In chrome browser, things run fine for a while but if user does some
activities like screen sharing, writing something on white board, WSS
connection breaks with following error in Catalina.out. Once this happens,
it keeps on happening for some time and then it stabilizes again till the
user does something again.

I guess you are specifying wrong "Content type"
