 Hi all.

One of our users ran into this issue. He has an external webcam. When
he selects the webcam for either his camera or mic, or both, he gets a
message "Camera/Microphone is busy and can't be used." He tried using
both Chrome and Edge, including turning off all extensions in both
 browsers.

He had been using the camera earlier with another system (Google Meet)
and it worked correctly. I had him completely shut down his computer,
restart, and then plug in the external camera. And it still didn't work. As
far as I can tell all of his permissions are correct within the browsers,
and he tried with two different browsers there must be something else
telling his computer that the camera is in use, even though it is not.

Any ideas on how we can fix this? Thanks in advance for your help! Dan

I doubt it can be firewall
Is it possible this user has some sort of autostart app?

For ex. Skype or Google meet might start with the system

Thanks Maxim.

I don't believe he tried FF. So he could give that a try. I can also ask
him to check if the same issue exists if only one of the two things is
chosen. He was able to get the mic to work once, but that camera never came
up. And after restarting the computer he wasn't able to use either the
camera or mic. Very strange. Could it be a firewall?

Hello Dan,

I'm not sure how to help in such case :(
We only can ask browser to use camera
And "busy" error can be thrown :(

BTW is the result the same in FF?
Is it the same if only camera or microphone are used?
