[owncloud-user] Slow calendar with 10.0.4.1.1

2018-03-08 Thread peter

Hi Folks,
I recently switched from owncloud 9 to owncloud 10, and now the
calendar is really slow. It's not too bad when you first visit the
calendar, but if you then move to a date a few months in the future ...
it's been over fifteen minutes and there are still no events
   showing.
All the calendars have the revolving circles next to them, and no
   events.

   What I did:
log into the Owncloud website (hosted locally on a Debian
server using Apache and PHP5)
Select `Calendar' from the top left hand menu
Click on the week number to get a way to find a different week
to display
Click the forward button to get from week 9 to week 47
Wait. And wait some more.

Is this a known issue? Or should I report it?

[owncloud-user] user_pwauth app

2018-03-07 Thread peter

How do I install third-party apps (like user_pwauth) and either add a
signature or mark them as explicitly unsigned and not to be checked?

user_pwauth is available from github at
https://github.com/veretcle/nextcloud-user_pwauth

I've recently installed version 10.0.4.4 and am getting
- user_pwauth
- EXCEPTION
- OC\IntegrityCheck\Exceptions\InvalidSignatureException
- Signature data not found.

Symlinks work for me, providing the object pointed to by the sylink is
readable by www-data (the user the webserver runs as).

This also works for me, providing they are relative symbolic links.

[owncloud-user] occ upgrade takes forever?

2015-07-27 Thread peter

Hi,
Just installed owncloud 7.0.7 over 7.0.1, and occ upgrade has
been running over 24 hours, with mysqld sitting at 5% CPU the
whole time.

Is there any way to get visibility into what it's doing?
To speed it up?

This owncloud instance has about 7 million files.

When I try to switch the source in the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/owncloud.list
file I get an invalid method when I try to use apt-get install.

I am not very experienced at using Linux CLI so apologies in advance.

Apt doesn’t seem to like something in the line I had (it is):

deb https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/isv:ownCloud:community:6.0/ /

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Peter,

The 6.0.x series is available from
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/isv:ownCloud:community:6.0, the
7.0.x series from
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/isv:ownCloud:community:7.0 (or
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/isv:ownCloud:community as long as
it's the latest version). If you are on packages, you're (hopefully) on
community:5.0. I'd recommend switching to community:6.0, let owncloud
perform all upgrades, and then switch to community:7.0.

Cheers,
 Daniel

[owncloud-user] Android backup apps?

2014-10-20 Thread Peter Humphrey
Hello list,

Does anyone know of an Android backup app that knows how to upload to an
OwnCloud server? It's possible to do it manually in the app I use, by not
setting up a cloud account and then finding the local file and uploading it to
my cloud, but how much neater it would be if the client apps had a bit more
nous.
