As long as you continue to use self signed certs and non EV-Code Signing certs
from a trusted 3rd party intermediary certificate authority you will continue
to encounter errors.

Hi many thanks for the support, from now we're experiencing problems with some
AV providers but not all. I think "Avast" is not generating problems...so we
still are figuring it out.

Thanks!

Contact digicert and get an EV Code signing certificate. I am using winrar
to create a SFX archive as a single file exe then signing manually with the
EV cert. Works great on all platforms and dosen't require any admin
privileges.

Hi Olaf,

We have the same problem with some of our customers on Windows.
Indeed, I believe this is caused by the fact that our applications are
signed with a temporary certificate.

It would be great if Harman could integrate a signing tool for desktop Air
apps like the one that exists for signing mobile AIR applications.

Does anyone have any information on how to sign a desktop AIR application ?
( I got this link :

they botched this up. We managed to grab the OSX 31 SDK off the damn way back

Hello friends,

I'm sorry to barge in so delicate matter, just wanted to raise my voice on this.

My apps don't require complex components as audio decoders, but we are all in a
terrible situation nonetheless.

I can't stop wondering what else is broken. I definitively fear for the future
of Air while hoping Harman can continue working on fixing it.

Hi Andrew, F4M audio video does not work on any version of windows or mac big

You're telling me that your working on it, were aware of this? Try this line

newest version of OSX:

Thanks Carlos

The latest AIR SDK 33.1 implements support for H.264/AAC on Windows; we’re
still working on this for the MacOS side though. The challenge was that the
software codecs used by Adobe in earlier AIR releases were subject to patent
licensing and royalties which are no longer covered, so we’ve had to remove
those. On Windows we can use capabilities provided via the Media Foundation,
although we’re aware of a few issues existing in this.. We actually want to
rework the entire multimedia area as it’s all very complex internally, so will
be looking at that during the coming year; for the interim period we’re aiming
to just implement decoders within the existing frameworks via these OS
libraries..

thanks

RTMP is still missing in Royale. Would you consider to port that for

I think it will be a great addition to the Royale arsenal and will make many

Royale (and any Apache project) will be around as long as there are 3 active
committers/PMC members. You can become one of them by contributing to the
project (code, doc, bugs, marketing, whatever). That way you can truly have a
stake in the future. No corporation can shut down Royale.

Nobody has gone into production on the MX/Spark emulation component set. I
think Alina's team is close. The tourdeflex migration example might give you
an idea of what it can currently do, but really, the goal is to make it work as
well as you need it. We are looking for folks who want to help us improve it.
The mindset has to be different from the Adobe days when you could just wait
for Adobe to cut another release for you to use. It is important that people
get involved, even if it is just reporting bugs. There is no dedicated test
team for Apache Royale. There was for Adobe Flex. There is no corporation
pushing this technology. The users are supposed to help with the pushing and
pulling.

I'm not sure where the source code is for FlourineFX. It might be transpilable
to JS. It appears to use AMF underneath. So maybe you have some work to do
there, but in the whole, it should be far less work than migrating all of your
code. See if you can figure out what FlourineFX APIs you used and we can
discuss emulating those.

Try posting the code you're using to draw the curve though.

Probably doesn’t help you but it's working in Flash Builder and using the

Build Processes

2016-01-06 Thread Jason Taylor
So one area where I am definitely weak is my build processes, and with growing
complexity it's a little out of control. This is all in IntelliJ Our main
product is composed of 6 library modules and 3 flash modules (web version,
desktop, version, tablet version). Each output version uses a different
FlexSDK, and there are additional builds on the tablet version with various
configuration changes to publish to android/iOS targets.

I know there are things like ant, maven, grunt that supposedly are good a this,
but for the life of me I have never found a good tutorial on setting these
things up easily. Can someone recommend me an approach that will be as
painless as possible to setup?

Hi,

I have received permission from my managers to host an Apache FlexJS event at
the Adobe office in San Francisco. I want to use this thread to finalize plans
for the event. My current thinking is that it will be a one-day, all-day
event. A couple of presentations from me and Om about FlexJS in the morning, a
lunch break, then a lab/hackathon in the afternoon. It will be an opportunity
to learn more about FlexJS and ask questions face-to-face. The afternoon
session is designed to try to get you up and running on FlexJS and ask more
questions.

I need to choose one day during the week of April 4-8. So if you have a strong
preference for Wednesday or whatever, speak up now otherwise I will probably
choose Monday the 4th.

Space is limited. The room can hold around 20 people in a chair and table
configuration, 40 or so if it is just chairs, so if more than one person from a
business wants to attend, we might need to put folks on the waiting list. If
we get lots more demand than that we can think about other venues. Also, I may
run a similar event in Seattle later, and an open to replicating this format in
other cities if folks can provide the room.

This event is currently free, although we might start a fund to cover food or
maybe t-shirts or something. Your response to this email won't be considered
your registration for this event until we finalize the format, date and price.
Then I'll send another email with more official registration information.

Thanks,

you could encrypt the video with a private key and save under a different
extension to get around the camera roll limitation, and for the wifi detection
this seems to be addressed here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/884285. Hell
for the video you could just pad the byte array and change the extension to
bypass the camera roll.

Hi,

I think all this should be possible except for the not being too access the
video via the camera roll. I doubt if you can do that even natively.

You might have to use an ANE for the wifi detection part. Can anyone else
conform?

Hi,

Does anybody know a way to convert an FXG graphic file to another image format?

SVG looks to be similar but I can't find any way to convert the graphics we've
used in our Flex app for use elsewhere.

Thanks for any help!

Subject: how to run Flex app programmatically?

Regarding Flex for desktop web app, I'd like to make an application that can be
launched/run programmatically by a computing language (for example C+, or java,
python, etc), where the program submits login credentials, then the application
will run as its intended.

This isn't for testing purposes (e.g. Flex Monkey, etc.). The idea would be to
replace a human from clicking to go to a website, then providing login
credentials. The application would need to be run daily, and I'm trying to
automate the process to make it easier for customers by integrating this task
into their existing production code base.

There's a lot of info out there about automatically submitting forms on
websites written in HTML or Javascript. Thought maybe someone had advice about
this in Flex app.

Sorry, but I don't think we should replace FXG as main skinning language.

Nothing against extending SVG support, but FXG is much nearer to Actionscript.

Also the SVG files created by most Illustration Software have to be cleaned up
in the same manner as you say about FXG.

E.g. if you draw an object and reposition it, Inkscape (i guess Illustrator,
too) just adds a transform attribute to the path instead of updating the path
itself.
(You may find the object in a completely different position than expected in
the SVG output, even when optimized).

I got the best results with a tiny piece of software for Xcode/Quartz
developers: https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/ivinci-express/id607900811?mt=12
Purely SVG based, it is really WYSIWYG - even Illustrator and Inkscape files
are cleaned up thoroughly (text is rendered as well).

I then built a SVG - FXG converter for Mac OS (based on an xslt-Script i
slightly modified):

http://www.realcreation.com/SVGtoFXG.dmg

Used with a 'clean' SVG it virtually gives me everything as 'clean' FXG (no
gradients yet, but that's easy to add manually or with e.g. 7jigen fxgeditor. I
may update.)

(In addition, I wouldn't get too irritated about Adobe having abandoned FXG, as
they also donated the FXG standard to Apache before, so they'd always be bound
to changes implemented by Apache. Same reason they gave up FB Design View.)

Rgds.,

Sascha

RE: Design tools for creating Flex 4 skins

I have found inscape to be very good. FXG is a broken format afaik as flash,
illustrator, and flex seem to all do different things depending on the version.
The route I then chose was to go with SVG. Flex's native support of SVG
initially was a bit lacking so we developed a component to better support that.
Once vector SVGs were handled well, it has been easy to make vector based
skins in either Illustrator, or Inkscape (the only 2 I tried). When saving the
svg from inkscape, as as Optimized SVG.

Following is the VectorImage I use for displaying SVG's in flex. Some of this
code was borrowed from a stack overflow answer, and a lot was modified to make
it work in our use cases. Good luck!

RE: Design tools for creating Flex 4 skins

2014-08-05 Thread Jason Taylor
why continue to use a format that requires you to jump through hoops and is
only supported inside a few particular projects? Save yourself the hassle and
just use SVG (1.1+). It makes it a heck of a lot easier to switch between html
and flex development. Now that SVG is working properly in Flex, I see no
reason to continue forward with FXG.
Just my $.02

How is FXG broken? Do you mean when you paste it into each of these different
places they all render differently? If that's true that's because they are
converting to their own internal representation. Flash Catalyst was great at
cleaning up the exported FXG from Illustrator. I would create a vector in
Illustrator, go to save (as FXG) and copy the FXG to the clipboard, then in FC
paste and it would pop open a dialog that let you choose how to handle the
import. For example, it would rasterize some things if you didn't tell it not
to.

But I agree that it would not always look the same as the original in
Illustrator. I think FXG is supposed to be better than SVG (at least 1.0 SVG).
