Subject: Formulas displaying in a cell

Hello,

I can’t figure out why I have certain cells displaying the formula and not the
results.

I’m using calc version 5.0.4.2.

Cells x12 and x13 in the attached file show the problem.

Also, if I cut and paste the formula from x11 it does the same thing.

The same problem exists with OpenOffice but the problem does not exist in
Google Sheets.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Marc Schell

By the way, will I get emails of any replies to this problem or is there
someplace I go to see comments?

I suppose you could manage this by changing the properties of the form.

E.g. in the Form Editor right-click any form element and choose "Form..."
and see at the tab "Data".
Alternatively select "Main Form" in the Form Navigator.

Hi All

I take from the lack of any replies to my post of a few days back that
either anyone who can help out is still on Christmas Holidays or this
just can not be done ??

They can be found via the Insert - Media - from Gallery menu or else via
the sidebar, e.g. in Writer, fourth button down.

The default themes are stored in /resources/gallery/ of your LibreOffice
application installation.

[libreoffice-users] Re: Anaphraseus extension

2016-01-07 Thread Pedro
Hi Thomas

Installing Anaphraseus 2.05.126b on LO 5.0.4.2 under Windows XP returned
and error message but the toolbar was installed. I have no idea if it works
as expected because I don't have any Translation Memory files :)

Why are you using LO 4.4.3.2? If you want to stay on the 4.4 branch it would
make sense to update to 4.4.7 (the extension installed without any problems
on my PC)

Do you have the latest Java installed?

So, the answer is: it does seem to work (at least the toolbar is there and
the buttons work...)

[libreoffice-users] Anaphraseus extension

2016-01-07 Thread Thomas Blasejewicz

Good evening
I am trying to install the "Anaphraseus extension":
1)Windows 10 machine (new, high spec), LibreOffice = 4.4.3.2 /
Anaphraseus 2.04.99b

Installation (after some trouble) achieved, but when trying to start:
Open Basic error in
"An exception occurred
Type: com.sun.star.container. NoSuchElementException
Message: Line 32"

2)Windows 7 machine; LibreOffice = 4.4.3.2 /
Anaphraseus 2.03.92b
Anaphraseus 2.04.99b
Anaphraseus 2.05.126

ALL attempts at installing these three versions result in:
"an error occurred during file opening"

Installation and startup worked on a Linux machine.
(Although there Anaphraseus tells me after translating just ONE segment,
that there are no other segments to translate. Not very helpful.)

Is there a trick, some sort of magic to make this work?
Or should I conclude that it does not work?

Thank you in advance.
Thomas

Re: [libreoffice-users] BaseForms: transferring contents of data fields to the database table

2016-01-07 Thread Marion & Noel Lodge
Hi Egbert,

Andrew Pitonyak's "Open Office.org Base Macro Programming" on page 45
states -

The safest solution is to modify the bound field directly. For example,
your current code may be as follows:
oControl.setString("myText")
It is better if you can use the bound field:
oControl.BoundField.updateString("myText")
The required method is dependent on the data type, which is a drawback to
this method. I am aware of at least one instance where the specific method
(updateDate) failed, yet the generate updateString method properly updated
the bound field.

I have found that BoundField.updateString works well in situations such as
yours. I have also worked out how to cover the problem of using a Macro to
write to a Date field. If you ever need to do this, I could send you the
code.
