[libreoffice-users] Java for browsers different than for LibreOffice?
I found a 64bit Java download It says it can cause problems in 32Bit browsers (which is the usually installed one for firefox.) There is also a link to show how to disable it in the browser. I am totally confused. Should I install the one that seems to be for browsers, or is there something different for LibreOffice? Or should I just download the one I found, move it into LibreOffice through the instructions sent by Remy, and disable it in firefox? Or will disabling it in firefox mess it up in Libre Office? As you can tell, I am totally tech challenged! :( -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: users+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy
[libreoffice-users] saving when nothing to save
Control-s saves the document even when there is nothing new to save. I think it disabled the save when there was nothing to do. Was this changed or is a regression bug in Calc? Re: [libreoffice-users] Re: JRE help please
Sorry about the attachemnts. I'm not sure how to find a file-sharing site. I only have the one version of Java. Someone sent me a message about it needing to be 64 bits, since that's what my LibreOffice is. I've installed the 32Bit version. Now I just have to find the other one. Thanks so much for you and the other two replies! On Fri, Aug 31, 2018 at 7:27 PM TomD wrote: > Hi :) > I think you need to enable it within LibreOffice. Re: [libreoffice-users] JRE help please
I followed your instructions, but was defeated at the "bin" it shows the file in my programs, but not when I go through the Advance to add the path. I can't open the "bin" On Fri, Aug 31, 2018 at 7:21 PM Remy Gauthier wrote: > Hi, > > Did you "add" the Java JRE in LO? [libreoffice-users] Re: JRE help please
Hi :) I think you need to enable it within LibreOffice. I thought it was enabled by default. Tools - Option - (the first heading down the side called "LibreOffice") - Advanced and then just tick the box at the top. Underneath there should be a box listing all the different versions of Java on your machine. Tick the newest one. Btw attachments can't be sent to the mailing list directly. The work-around is to post the attachment to a file-sharing site and then put a link to the file in your email. That avoids everyone on the mailing list having to download attachments that might not be relevant to the discussions they are involved with. Nabble tries to make all of that easier and presents the mailing list as a forum. It's still a mailing list but Nabble makes it look more like a forum. Re: [libreoffice-users] JRE help please
Hi, Did you "add" the Java JRE in LO? You need to go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced and add the path to the JRE there. I hope this helps. Rémy. [libreoffice-users] JRE help please
I installed JRE several days ago and have closed Libre Office, but I still get this message when I try to run a macro. "LibreOffice requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart LibreOffice." Under the Java Control Panel > General it says that Java in the browser is enabled. I'm attaching a view of what it says "Java > view. Re: [libreoffice-users] Error When Closing Document Using Automation
Sorry, I do not know what is going on, but DO you see anything different if you: 1. Pause for a few seconds before you call close? In the back of my mind I am wondering if for some silly reason, control returns to you before the save command finishes running. 2. out of curiousity, what value is in the isModified property? 3. I assume that you are calling terminate on the desktop object, is this correct? 4. Assuming you sleep a few seconds first, what happens if you call dispose on the document rather than close? I do not even know if the dispose method still exists, but, if it does. Note that you should not in general use dispose, but, that is what existed before close() was added to the API.
