Re: [libreoffice-users] saving a calc spreadsheet as template with its functions?
Tom Davies writes: > Hi :) > I just click on the save button or on; > > File - Save As > > Job done. To clarify ... I have a spreadsheet of 5 tabs called 'word-count-antonine.ods' which I would like to use as a word-count template for future books that I intend to write. WCA starts at Saturday July 28 2018 with initial word counts which are then updated manually whenever I do more writing. I would like to have this as a template with blank cells except they have kept the functions from the original spreadsheet, so that I can start with a new date and work onwards from there and show exactly the same information as in my original spreadsheet, but the new one is now named for another project. I have saved the WCA spreadsheet as a template, but it is still showing exactly the same information in each cell as the original one was, whereas I was hoping that the functions would remain but the cells appear blank. Does my original question make sense now please? Thanks Sharon. > I'm not sure what the problem is. Is it that someone using Microsoft Office > can't see the file you have created? [libreoffice-users] auto-spell checking not working on a fresh install.
On a fresh install of libreoffice 4.0.3.3 on Debian 7, its lost the ability to check my spelling as I type. I've looked at all the tick boxes that seem relevant but it seems to be turned on but not working. This particular download of libreoffice worked on an upgrade from the previous version on Debian 7 before I re-installed, so I don't know what the problem is. [libreoffice-users] To the moderators
At 1253 today I sent a email to the list under the heading of ' auto-spell checking not working on a fresh install.' asking for help with Libreoffice 4.0.3.3. This appears to have been removed from the main mailing list with no reason given. Why please? It was a genuine request for help with an ongoing problem that I have. I look forward to your reply. [libreoffice-users] 3.6.4.3 and Wheezy.
I've just installed LibreOffice 3.6.4.3 onto Debian Wheezy [aka testing] and it works but keeps the Debian LibreOffice as well. This is more of an update with regard to the next version of Debian which is currently in testing, and may well be released as 'stable' in quarter 1 of 2013, but that’s just my guesstimate. Re: [libreoffice-users] lo 3.5.5
Thanks Jay, I was able to completely remove it with synaptic, which I've never used before. However, on re installation, properly this time, I've only got menu shortcuts for calc, impress, and printer administration, so there appears to be some bug still in the debian-menus-desktop-integration which is not populating the menu properly in squeeze. [libreoffice-users] SOLVED- lack of recent documents
I renamed the /libreoffice folder as already suggested, which made no difference except when I restarted libreoffice all my setup was still the same. But when checking my paths I noticed that several items had config files under /.config, so I looked in there and found a ./config/libreoffice folder. So I renamed that too and restarted libreoffice, and then had to setup my paths again, and on checking, my 'recent documents' menu entry works. Brilliant! Thanks to all those who responded, both my showstoppers have now been sorted out, lovely jubbly! [libreoffice-users] lack of recent documents
I've just installed LibreOffice 3.5.1 and autospellcheck is working well, but I have no documents appearing in the 'Recent documents' box. Does anyone know how to get it working please? I tried installing the 'HistoryMaster' extension to see if that would improve things, but all it did was to slow down all menu operations, which when i'd uninstalled it they recovered their original speed. [libreoffice-users] Downgrading
I have downgraded my LO program from 3.5.0 to 3.4.5, as the lack of autospellcheck and recent documents in 3.5.0 were real show stoppers, and not being able to find any workarounds.
