Is it possible that the source file has locked text?

Good afternoon
Another incomprehensible behavior arose.

I open a new document, copy text from a text file and try to save the
document as .odt.

Yet, nothing happens.
I tried to save the document in different locations, but that does
not change anything.
Creating a document in the same way in Word (which I rarely use)
causes no problems.

How can I fix this very annoying behavior.
Thank you

It may be that Notepad may force a fix in Windows. Found this...

Then I went back to one of the Notepad-windows, and attempted to copy
a text string into a Calc cell. WITH success (today).
Now as an extra measurement, I attempted to copy a bit internally and
from external, but this time from Edge as test 1 and from Chrome as
test 2. WITH success (today).

I have edited this message: to WITH suc.

Are you able to create and save an empty .odt?

If so, does copying to it after saving empty .odt work?

Sorry, I was sort of "carried away".
