Perhaps the same problem as fdo#45068 (see : http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/3.5#Most_annoying_bugs) Best regards. If you are using a multi-user system, also make sure that no other user has LibreOffice 3.5 open" You probably have the OOo quickstarter open by default when you boot Windows. You can manually close the quickstarter, I believe, right click and select close. The quickstarter is normally on the bottom task bar in Windows. Its exact location varies depending on the Windows version (XP, Vista, 7) Once LO is installed the quickstarter will open LO not OOo. This is a common problem with Windows that a quickstarter will cause problems with an a new version install. It obviously refers to the previous OpenOffice.org files remaining. I am not sure what version that was, I am asking more questions but meanwhile if there is an obvious workaround I'd like to have it. I've found this during a quick search: OpenOffice.org issue #104421: install reports quickstart running and stops https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=104421 http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=31314 Thanks for any help with this.
