[libreoffice-users] RE: LibreOffice Math: Export PDF- Control the output?

2012-10-23 Thread russurquhart1
Hi Regina,

We were looking for a way to create equations, and then have them exist as
single files, preferably as a pdf file, with as few steps as necessary.

In our work environment we then take the pdf files, and can use them in various
formats, for inclusion into our documents.

Thanks for your help,

Russ

Do not use Math for this task but insert the formula into Draw or Writer
and export to PDF from there.

BTW, what are you doing with a single formula in a PDF document?

Kind regards
Regina

Re: [libreoffice-users] RE: LibreOffice Math: Export PDF- Control the output?

2012-10-22 Thread Tom Davies
Hi :)
Ahh, Math doesn't have much in the Format menu.  It doesn't have the bit i was
referring to :(

The other route looks like it might work
File - Print
opens a dialogue-box.  At the top are 3 tabs; General, LibreOffice Math,
Options.  On the "Other" tab is a tick-box for "Print to file".  Back to the
"General" tab.

Click on the "Properties" button to get another dialogue-box with only 2 tabs.
Click the 2nd tab, "Device" and change the "Printer language type" from PS to
PDF.
Good luck with this!
Regards from
Tom :)

Have you selected any boxes in the:
Tools > Options > LibreOffice Math > Settings?

There are 3 "print options" check-boxes there.

One was your "border" option that you said was in the PDF file you
exported to.

To be honest, I never really used Math, just played with it from time to
time.

Hi,

I want to export an equation created in Math as a pdf file. When i use the
Export PDF, i get the equations, but i also get the file name, the command i
entered at the bottom of the page, and a border around the page. How can i
NOT get those things to come out in the pdf?

When i print, i don't get those items, its only when i use the Export PDF
command.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Russ
