[libreoffice-users] connecting bibliography to document problem

2015-11-03 Thread andrey . rybak
hi everybody!
i have some problem with bibliography editing in my libreoffice document.
if i open document i have bibliography database connected to it and placed
in standard place in .config/ directory.
if i trying to open menu View->Data Source i can see and edit data in
bibliography.
Also i have my bibliography in registered databases.
But when i trying edit data in bibliography through menu
Tools->Bibliography database - i retrieve empty sheet for table of
database.
And also when i trying to add reference from bibliograhy through menu
Insert->Indexes and tables->Bibliography Entry i can not add entries from
the database. Corresponding "short name" combobox is not filled with
items. It is empty.
How i can connect my bibliograhy to my document?
Thanks in advance!

it shows standard path. I am using Debian.
/home/myname/.config/libreoffice/4/user/database/biblio
it is written on left side of path in status bar: dBASE
As i understand this is the type of database.

the problem is not concerning to document. The problem is with options of
libreoffice. Even if i will create new empty document i can not be able
edit bibliography database using menu Tools->Bibliography database. If i
will go to menu view->data source (F4) i can see bibliography but i can
not also use insert->indexes and tables->bibliography entry. I dont see
any entry in combobox "short name"
The document is unpublished article. teach me please - how i can connect
bibliograhy to document. Honestly saying the situation appeared after my
trying to change default biblio database to my own. After that i can not
connect nor default database nor my own one.

I sent requested file to your mail address. Could you please explain - how
do you connect a documents to bibliography database? I can reproduce the
problem in another computer. I just unregistered default bibliography
database. And after that it is possible to get situation described by me
in previous mail.
It is possible to register bibliography database back but without
functionality of "Tools->Bibliography Database" menu and without
possibility to edit database using "Insert->Indexes and
tables->Bibliography Entry" menu.
Thanks for your patience and tolerance

You will not able to do that if you will unregister a database for
switching to another database. I found solution - in dialog base that is
appearing in menu Tools->Bibliographic Database we should press "Data
Source" buttom and choose appropriate database
In any case thank you - communication with you helped me.
