Re: what kind of Push Initiator
What was the error ? One thing that coms into mind is the separators. Kannel requires /r/n, as specified by MIME.(You would have an error complaining about preamble, because this is the first part of a message.)AarnoOn 12 Dec 2005, at 17:16, Jeff Sharrow wrote:I understand that whatever connects to the PPG for push is a PI. I saw someone else was trying what I have been attempting which is use the Openwave perl module as the PI to the PPG, but have not been able to get it to work. I hoped I could get a different feel for what most are using as a PI and possible get some information on how their setup works. Jeffery SharrowTMP Corp. dba Simmetry Communications
Re: erroneous preamble / unable to parse mime content, the request unacceptable
Hi,it seems that the separator (between MIME parts) is worng. It should be /r/n.Aarno On 12 Dec 2005, at 07:48, cool planet wrote:Hi , Just for testing i used to send push messages via openwave perl module. http://developer.openwave.com/dvl/support/documentation/jacks_hacks/archive/02mar.htm kannel wapbox gives following error , why is that ? what is wrong ? i wont receive any push messages to my mobile ? Re: send sms via the kannel - ppg
No, you would need wapbox, and its ppg to send wap push and smsbox to recive delivery reports.AarnoOn 11 Dec 2005, at 06:58, cool planet wrote:so , that's meant do i have to have separate smsbox configured in my pc, or else two different sms'c has to be configred in my pc ?? one for puch finctionality and the otherone for sending sms. Re: Nokia 66xx
Hi Toby, Yes I am sending content in Nokia Smart messaging format only. Interestingly it is 66XX series phones that have problem. I have tested it with Nokia 311*, 35**, 9***, 32**, 21**, 11**. Not only that I have tested it on Motorola c200, Sony Ericsson TXXX series mobile phones without any problem. While Nokia 6610 was able to receive picture messages from another mobile phone, it crashed when the message was sent by Kannel. The message was concatenate message with length of 3 messages. I think it has something to do with Sender ID being alpha-numeric. Any input shall be extremely helpful. regards shantanu - Original Message - From: Toby Wright [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 'Shantanu S Chauhan' [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 13, 2005 3:15 PM Subject: RE: Nokia 66xx I sent across a picture message through kannel on nokia 6610, and unbelievingly it **Crashed** while all other phones received it without any problem. It also had some weird problem of showing message text as sender id if sender id is alpha-numeric? However when picture messages were sent through another mobile phone, it received it without any problem. Does anybody else share the same experience, or was it I who was doing something wrong? I take it that you are sending the message in Nokia picture message format, rather than by EMS. If you do use EMS to talk to a Nokia it ought to simply reject it rather than crashing but I have seen some Nokia's crash more than you might expect. It would help to know which other phones have you sent the same picture message to. Is the picture message contained in a single message or does the phone need to concatenate multiple messages to receive it? RE: WTLS
Title: RE: WTLS How do we go about ensuring that our clients use WTLS to connect to our application? Can we force them to have to use WTLS? I'd guess it depends on the WAP client implementation; At least I'd expect a https:// scheme in the URL to indicate to the WAP client that a secure session is required.

Hi Wilfried, On 12/8/05, Wilfried Goesgens [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: you have a rather huge percentage of i/o wait. this could be caused by slow disks writing the kannel log, or cheap rtl81** nics doing polling. try to use faster disks, or intel / 3com and so on nics. After correcting the RAID setup, it is looking much better... thanks allot.
FW: post-url
Can someone please provide a sample sms-service that utilizes a post-url. I'm curious about how to specify what parameters I want to include in the post. Thank you, Eric
