Maybe that Diego Martin response?

You can add new columns directly in the
/usr/lib/one/ruby/cli/one_helper/onevm_helper.rb file [1]. To make that new
column visible, the name needs to be added to /etc/one/cli/onevm.yaml [2]
and/or the default set [3].

[one-users] Problem Isolating a dom0

2015-01-16 Thread Alejandro Feijóo
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA512

HI.

Recently i added a new dom0 to Opennebula. But is a dom0 for a concrete
proyect, and only can be used by an especific user/group.

I do that:

1.- Create a Datastore:

106 dptos_DS 438.5G 95% dptos 0 sys -shared

2.- Create a Cluster:

106 dptos 1 0 1

3.- And of course, attached the new dom0:

65 elearning2 dptos 1100 / 800 (12%) 20G / 31.5G
(63%) on

4.- And Create a group to use that:

[oneadmin@cloud ~]$ onegroup show 110
GROUP 110 INFORMATION
ID : 110
NAME : dptos

GROUP TEMPLATE
DEFAULT_VIEW="user"
SUNSTONE_VIEWS="user,cloud"

USERS
ID

RESOURCE PROVIDERS
 ZONE CLUSTER
 0 106

RESOURCE USAGE & QUOTAS

At that point... the dpto cluster has the dom0 as owner and... no users
at group 110 (dptos group)

but..

any user at group "users" can instantiate at elearning2 dom0...

What i´m doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

[one-users] request for improvement

2014-12-29 Thread Alejandro Feijóo
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA512

Hi.

Thats ist only a idea, maybe now it works at 4.10 but at 4.80 not work.

I mean a poff state when the machine start using virsh comand (for kvm
for example)

Some times at Systems dpt we need to change a hard drive, we use a
peculiar architecture that force us a stop 1 dom0 to change the hard
drive in other dom0 yes... a bit quirky

To do that action asap we stop the MV at dom0 with virsh stop (or at
cloud service with stop command) the machines state change to power off
(poff)

after reboot the dom0, we use virsh create deployment.0 (and not start
button at cloud service)... we know thats is not correct but for us at
CPD its faster than connect to cloud and set VM to start

We were doing this at 4.4 version and others after some "checks"
Opennebula change the poff state to runn state... but now at 4.80 the VM
state remains freezes (poff).

Its there a possible improvement or just a bad config? (sure a bad
habits from us)

Thanks in advance.

2014-12-04 Thread Alejandro Feijóo

Hi.

at ec2 doc (1) there are a little bug

In the "Hello Cloud!" say the commands:

$ econe-upload /images/gentoo.img
Success: ImageId ami-0001

$ econe-register ami-0001
Success: ImageId ami-0001

---

But the correct way to register an image is given only the ID not the name

if I do the "econe-register ami-0718" the error is

econe-register: [ImageInfo] Error getting image [0].

but all work if i do "econe-register 718"

I dont know if really is a bug at documentation or just my version that
work diferent hehe.

Thanks.

Hi.

Im try to setup the econe-server at our preproduction opennebula.

After setup using guide(1), im able to start service, and it seems are
ok and working.

(CODE)-

oneadmin@test ~]$ econe-server start
econe-server started

[oneadmin@test ~]$ tail -f /var/log/one/econe-server.log
:terminated_instances_expiration_time=>900,

:ebs_fstype=>"ext3",
:template_location=>"/etc/one/ec2query_templates",
:views=>"/usr/lib/one/ruby/cloud/econe/views"}
- --

(/CODE)-

but i think there are any problem on my config or similar... because any
command always return the same error:

root@test ~]# econe-describe-images --access-key alfeijoo --secret-key
862fa61ff082f32a1654e33a29929a8bac8a75d1

econe-describe-images: The username or password is not correct

The secret key that i used is the return of the commands:

echo my_pass | sha1sum

862fa61ff082f32a1654e33a29929a8bac8a75d1

i tried too create an user with sha1 direct:

oneuser create alfeijoo --sha1 862fa61ff082f32a1654e33a29929a8bac8a75d1

but the error are the same..

All of that test are at localhost, and the server seems that work but
return an 401 error.

http://dev.opennebula.org/issues/3177
$.each(service_template_json.DOCUMENT.TEMPLATE.BODY.roles,
function(index, role){

var div_id = "user_input_role_"+index;

tmp_json = {};

retrieveWizardFields($("#"+div_id, dialog), tmp_json);

// alfeijoo //

$.each(role.elasticity_policies, function(i, pol){
pol.expression = htmlDecode(pol.expression);
});

// alfeijoo //

role.user_inputs_values = tmp_json;

extra_info.merge_template.roles.push(role);
});
---

but the problems remain.. something that i did wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Alejandro,

The credentials that you define in the appmarket-sunstone.conf is
just for Sunstone and it depends on how do you want to use the
Appmarket. If you want to use it as regular user, in the same way
you use the default Marketplace tab included in OpenNebula, you have
to create a new regular user in AppMarket and use it in the conf
file. On the other hand if you want to use the AppMarket as an admin
and create new appliances you have to use the default credentials
included in appmarket-server.conf or create a new admin user.

If you want to use the CLI you have to provide the credentials as params

Re: [one-users] appmarket & Credentials

2014-09-30 Thread Alejandro Feijóo

I think there are some problem at sunstone...

if I create a appliance through sunstone it fails, but if i create at
appmarket create file.json it works ok.

my doubt its how change the template to write it in json...

there are an example.

CONTEXT=[
 NETWORK="YES",
 SSH_PUBLIC_KEY="$USER[SSH_PUBLIC_KEY]" ]
CPU="1"
DISK=[
 IMAGE_ID="0" ]
FEATURES=[
 ACPI="yes" ]
GRAPHICS=[
 LISTEN="0.0.0.0",
 TYPE="VNC" ]
MEMORY="1024"
NIC=[
 NETWORK_ID="0" ]
OS=[
 ARCH="x86_64",
 BOOT="hd",
 ROOT="hda1" ]

how i can put that in json?

I create and register img, after that opennebula and appmarket set
link to ( http://localhost:6242/appliance/542a773df3474d08bb03)
but... thats nos possible to import appliance because (cant determine
image size)

any idea? its works only change the 127.0.0.1 at appmarket server config?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Alejandro,

The credentials that you define in the appmarket-sunstone.conf is
just for Sunstone and it depends on how do you want to use the
Appmarket. If you want to use it as regular user, in the same way you
use the default Marketplace tab included in OpenNebula, you have to
create a new regular user in AppMarket and use it in the conf file.
On the other hand if you want to use the AppMarket as an admin and
create new appliances you have to use the default credentials
included in appmarket-server.conf or create a new admin user.

If you want to use the CLI you have to provide the credentials as params
$ appmarket-user list --user default --password default

Cheers

but now, we updated server to 4.8 and onevnet stop working (if a did a

The problem:

I decided to update to 4.8 the utils at MV, remember that 3.2 was installing
using a tar.gz, but now we use a yum install opennebula.

All was fine at VM, but after that... the Opennebula utils say that are a
3.2 version (I can see that using onevnet -h)... but rpm say that was
installed 4.8

any idea? i think there are a problem at ruby or similar...

Thanks in advance.
