[ovirt-users] Self-hosted Engine
Are the official instructions for the setting up the self-hosted engine applicable to a fresh install (either CentOS or Fedora)? Basically I am looking to see uf it is possible to basically do an all-oin-one install but with the engine asca self-hosted VM insread of on the host itself. Hi, since the bug 1093366 is evidently blocking the Hosted Engine feature, it should be added as blocker for the oVirt 3.4.3 tracker (bug 1107968). [ovirt-users] Backup solutions for Ovirt
Hi All, I am using Ovirt for my QA environment almost 15 virtual servers, and it is working as expected. The only thing I am worried about is the backup solutions in case of failure or system crash. I tried looking into the LVM structure that is created by Ovirt but it seems a bit complex. Please let me know the proper solution (if there is any) for backing up my environment in case of failure. I have removed vdsm and libvirt from that host before the reinstalation
of the host in ovirt engine but the problem persists with s1 respawn:

As far as I can tell, the error boils down to the following
lines from your host-deploy log:

Hi All, I am working on the Nova - oVirt driver as mentioned in the blueprint - https://blueprints.launchpad.net/nova/+spec/rhev-m-ovirt-clusters-as-compute-resources. I am currently to integrate neutron with ovirt during a VM launch, for below use case. Use Case:- 1. Import the Neutron as external provider into oVirt. 2. VM is Launched in OpenStack - which launches VM on oVirt. 3. Assign the IP assigned by the OpenStack to the oVirt VM and connect to the imported OpenStack Network. I have completed Step 1 and Step 2. Are you actually using firewalld, or is it really iptables? You can add a log statement before the reject rule in /etc/sysconfig/iptables to log a message to /var/log/messages to show what is being blocked. Then you can open those ports that show up in your log as necessary. Hi, after i had successfully migrated the disks to a different nfs datastore, i now have a vm with 3 snapshots: 1 current with the description Active VM and 2 more with the description Auto-generated for Live Storage. For what i have been reading online, i can only delete snapshots with the vm offline. is this true? Second, should i commit the live storage snapshots before i delete them or its safe to delete them without commit?
