[ovirt-users] ISO Upload in in Paused by System Status

2021-08-04 Thread louisb
I'm attempting to upload an ISO that is approximately 9GB in size. I've
succssfullly started th upload process via the oVirt Management Console/Disk.
The upload started however, it now has a status of "Paused by System". My
storage type is set to NFS Data.

Is something happing the back ground that contributing to the "Paused by
System"? I have mor the 84TB of space available so I don't think it is a
space issue. Is there something that I need to do? At this time I'm going to
wait and see if it moves forward on its own.

Please provide me with any help or direction.

Thanks

[ovirt-users] ISO Upload

2020-01-06 Thread Christian Reiss

Hey folks,

I have a cluster setup as follows (among others)

/vms for vm storage. Attached as data domain.
/isos for, well, isos. Attached as iso domain.

When I try to upload a(ny) iso via the ovirt engine, I can only select
the vms storage path, not the iso storage path. Both are green and
active across the board.

Is my understanding correct that I can only upload and ISO to a data
domain, then (once uploaded), move the iso file to the iso domain via
the web-ui?

-Chris.

[ovirt-users] ISO Upload "Paused by System"

2019-07-09 Thread Ron Baduach -X (rbaduach - SQLINK LTD at Cisco)
Hi Guys,
I tried to upload an ISO, and from "chrome" it's just "paused by system" from
the beginning
>From "Firefox", it started to upload, but after 0.5 hour it becomes "paused by
>system" too.

I suspect it's the certificate issue, but I installed the certificate. [I'm
working with Windows 10]

Can you please tell me it this is the issue ?and if yes, how can I solve the
Cert issue ?

I'm just stuck here, so thanks in advance !

You probably need to refresh the ISO list, assuming 4.2 go to Storage ->
Storage Domains -> , click on the name, and go to the images
detail tab. This should refresh the list of ISOs in the list and the ISO
should be listed, once that is done, it should show up in the drop down when
you change the CD.

[ovirt-users] Iso upload success, no GUI popup option

2018-03-19 Thread Jamie Lawrence
Hello,

I'm trying to iron out the last few oddities of this setup, and one of them is
the iso upload process. This worked in the last rebuild, but... well.

So, uploading from one of the hosts to an ISO domain claims success, and
manually checking shows the ISO uploaded just fine, perms set correctly to
36:36. But it doesn't appear in the GUI popup when creating a new VM.

Verified that the VDSM user can fully traverse the directory path - presumably
that was tested by uploading it in the first place, but I double-checked.
Looked in various logs, but didn't see any action in ovirt-imageio-daemon or
-proxy. Didn't see anything in engine.log that looked relevant.

What is the troubleshooting method for this? Googling, it seemed most folks'
problems were related to permissions. I scanned DB table names for something
that seemed like it might have ISO-related info in it, but couldn't find
anything, and am not sure what else to check.

Thanks,

We already have this, this is how glance images are copied into ovirt image.

However it works only for glance, and only if the host can access the server
holding the image.

This will work for server that is not accessible to the hosts, but
accessible to the
imageio proxy (usually on same network as engine).

Currently we plan http/https support, other protocols can be added
later if needed,

Hi all, both of these features are going to be introduced soon. We already
have the infra to support it, and it is just a matter of some work until
it will be in.

Yesterday I just used scp to copy the ISO into the ISO domain storage
location, and the engine picked it up in its next hourly evaluation.
Granted, this is with 4.0.5.

Yes thanks, I know it.
In 4.1 (but it seems to me also in 4.x) it was a matter of seconds after
scp, but I hoped there would be something smarter and directly usable by
the web admin GUI...

Hello,
this bugzilla resuted as "not a bug" because the gui was not targeted as
ISO files upload but only disks.
I don't find anything in oVirt 4.1 beta too... what would be the best
method to upload ISO images in 4.1 then?

[ovirt-users] Iso Upload

2016-10-20 Thread Koen Vanoppen
Dear All,

I thougt it was possible to upload an iso to ovirt 4 now. But for some
reason I didn't manage to do it. If I try to upload a iso in the disk
section ov the gui, I'm always getting the following message:
Make sure ovirt-imageio-proxy service is installed and configured, and
ovirt-engine's certificate is registred as a vailid ca in the browser.

ovirt-image-io-proxy is installed. Already rerun engine-setup... But still
the image get's paused when I try to upload it... Any ideas?
