Hmm,

Just a guess, been struggling with getting calendar and todo's to sync.

Have you set the supported type when defining the syncsources via funambol
admin. to x-event and x-todo for sogo-cal and sogo-todo?

That one kept me busy for a good day since it's not described in the manual
and if you read the requested inputs in funambol admin, it's kinda obvious.

Thanks for your reply, Ed.
I am stupid (or confused): my setup was sogo-cal - text/x-vcal (Name -
Supported type), this does not work.

With this one: sogo-cal - text/x-vevent, it works properly, for me.

Thanks again

I have had this issue for longer time and currently I have decided to
identify records (from all 300 records) in my calendar with excluding
 method.
And finally here is example of that record:

 BEGIN:VEVENT
 CREATED:20110729T135030Z

 UID:1819-4E32C900-2F5-2C08A280

 X-IRMC-LUID:02C1
 END:VEVENT

especially line starting with RRULE caused it. If I have removed it
from record or just removed ;BYMONTH=4 part, record will be imported
 successfully and also without crashing.

also same situation with crashing when the RRULE line looks like this:
 RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTHDAY=14;BYMONTH=4

Please, where is the problem with that line itself? Can you fix that
crashing? Probably my old cell phone (SonyEricsson W995) generates
records with that line and during synchronization was this record
 uploaded to server side calednar.

 I am using sogo-1.3.14-1.centos6.i686

The above event is absolutely valid.
The RRULE is OK too.

Is there perhaps an invisible character in or at the end of this line?

[SOGo] Sogo a non-starter?

2012-04-10 Thread sogo.ilsa
I was in the process of doing a test deployment of Sogo to see if it would be
suitable to our needs. The feature set looks quite outstanding, especially the
upcoming native Outlook integration.

But, and there's always a but in these things, everywhere I look I read that
Sogo does not do SSL/TLS with SMTP, nor does it do SMTP authentication. Given
the state of the world today, I'm shocked that this isn't considered a basic
essential feature to all mail servers now. This is particular critical for
mobile users who need to send email while off-site.

Please tell me that I misread everything... I was really looking forward to
setting Sogo up, but if it cannot handle such basic features, then I have no
choice but to avoid it.

This has nothing to do with SOGo, since SOGo does not provide
SMTP/IMAP/POP features.
These are provided by your mail services (postfix, cyrus, dovecot,
whatever) and these are normaly able to handle TLS/SSL connections.

What is not SSL/TLS secured is the sending of mails from the SOGo
webinterface to your mail server.
But since in most cases you anyway have the smtp server on the very same
machine, it does not matter, since adding ssl/tls overhead to a
localhost:25 connection does not give you more security

The documentation that I've read pretty clearly shows SOGo being
integrated with 3rd party services for SMTP and IMAP. I *think* that as
long as the software SOGo is being integrated with supports SSL/TLS
there is no cause for concern.

Can anyone offer any further advice? I've tried turning off the
firewall (no help), and disabling WOUseRelativeURLs. If it makes a
difference I used iredmail to configure the base email server (with
LDAP). I've verified with Wireshark that the CardDAV requests are

[SOGo] Using squirrelmail migrate script

2012-04-10 Thread Federico Alberto Sayd

Hello:

I am trying to migrate contacts from Squirrelmail to SOGo. I am using
the script addressbook.pl found in the sogo sources.

I run the script with this parameters

./addressbook.pl --config default.conf --username user1 --verbose=2
user1.abook

default.conf:

url = http://localhost/
username = sogo
password = secretpassword

[addressbooks]
folder_destination = importados

Folder importados for user1 exists but the script displays the next error

Anyone using this script to import contacts?

Also, any idea to run the script when the user log in the first time?

Re: [SOGo] Using squirrelmail migrate script

You need to use the corresponding UUID of the address book importados,
not its name for option 'folder_destination'.
The UUID looks something like 62AF-4C68E680-5-734FD600.

Also, any idea to run the script when the user log in the first time?

Sorry, no idea on that one.

Thanks for the clarification

Ok, Then there is not batch operation. No option to migrate multiple
user address books...

getting empty address-books (LDAP Addressbook is fine).

When run from a terminal, Thunderbird complains

CARDDavDirectory.js NO INTERFACE {some random seeming numbers}

I've attached all of the configurations for things I've modified.
I'm sure I've overlooked something in spite of multiple RTFMs (or
added things I shouldn't have from various places around the net).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone offer any further advice? I've tried turning off the
firewall (no help), and disabling WOUseRelativeURLs. If it makes a
difference I used iredmail to configure the base email server (with
LDAP). I've verified with Wireshark that the CardDAV requests are
sending the entire email address as the username.

James

Ok, I got things to sync. I would appreciate some guidance on how to
make this change automatic with the integrator.

The integrator set up the connector address book url as:
http://myserver/SOGo/dav/ja...@myserver.com/Contacts/sogo_SOME-STRING/

I changed this to:
http://myserver/SOGo/dav/james/Contacts/sogo_SOME-STRING/

It now will sync fine [over https as well].

Is there a way to make the integrator configure this automatically?
This would be especially helpful since every restart of thunderbird
reconfigures the addressbooks with the broken way.

ASIDE: if the other is not possible, would some weird apache rewrite
rule be the best way? I'm assuming that since iredmail configures
itself for multi-domain [I'm running a single domain for now] and sogo
is only configured to run on that domain, that this may be my issue. If
this is the root cause, it would make more sense to get SOGo configured
properly for this, instead of using apache as a workaround.

Any advice and suggestions appreciated.

Regards,

James

Sorry for all of the replies...
It looks like setting UIDFieldName=mail [instead of uid], and
SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID=YES does the trick. Of course (per
documentation) I lost my address books, but this was a test
configuration anyhow.

Thank you for the great software!

James

Re: [SOGo] SOGo crashing - record identified

2012-04-10 Thread Michal Bruncko

Hi Christian

thank you for response. I have created bug report regarding this:
http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=1759

Is there perhaps an invisible character in or at the end of this line?

i dont think so, I have had more records with same RRULE lines (and same
parameters) and for all of them sogo crashed.

This crashing comes to current from older sogo versions. For all the
time I have just upgraded sogo packages (also with deps) and mysql
database. Is there any chance that this is due some missing database
upgrade from some older version?

thanks

michal

I have finally identified records which caused my sogo stack smashing
logs and crashing sogo without displaying any calendar events in SOGo
web version.
I have had this issue for longer time and currently I have decided to
identify records (from all 300 records) in my calendar with excluding
method.
And finally here is example of that record:

BEGIN:VEVENT
CREATED:20110729T135030Z
LAST-MODIFIED:20100730T195829Z
UID:1819-4E32C900-2F5-2C08A280
SUMMARY:Birthday causin
RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=4
DTSTART:19860414T22Z
DTEND:19860415T215900Z

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

[SOGo] Proxy error on edit of single event within orrurance

2012-04-10 Thread Donny Brooks
One thing that we have noticed lately is that when a user sets up a recurring event and they try to edit just one instance within it they receive a proxy error. Specifically it states:

Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /SOGo/so/username/Calendar/edit

Reason: Error reading from remote server

I am pretty sure this has not been happening long but with us having end user training on Thursday of this week I would like to get it narrowed down soon if possible. We are running the most recent 1.3.14-1 on Centos 5.8. This is all in the web frontend.
