[SOGo] Disable Calendar and Address Book on the webmail interface

2012-08-13 Thread Remi Verchere
Hello,

I'm using SOGO 2, latest RC.
I'd like to disable the calendar and address book on the webmail
interface. Is there an option on SOGo to do such a thing?

Don't worry, I just want to disable these functions temporarily, until
I make it works with Outlook clients.

Thanks for your help !

[SOGo] Out Of Office Template

2012-08-13 Thread Remi Verchere
Hello,

I'd like to add a template on the Out Of Office message. Then,
people just have to enter date of their unavailability.
Is there such a way to do that ?

[SOGo] Export Calendars to ics format

2012-08-13 Thread Remi Verchere
Hello,

this is my last question for the day ;)

Today we are using phpIcal (http://phpicalendar.net/) to see calendars
form co-workers.
We are migrating to SOGo, but MS Outlook people won't have the shared
calendars functionnality yet.
So, I'd like to export SOGo Calendars to the phpICal server.

How can I export SOGo people calendar in ICS format automatically? I
can script it, using crontab co.

Thanks for your help!

Re: [SOGo] Export Calendars to ics format

2012-08-13 Thread Martin Rabl

Hi,

IMHO phpicalender allows to subscribe ics-calenders via URL. SOGo
allows to get calenders by a URL like

  http//www.example.com/SOGo/dav/user/Calendar/personal.ics
(just add the .ics-extension).

Greetings,
  Martin

Thanks. We will try to put some resources in place for SQL based user
sources, and I will let you know about the results.

Thank you. I have seen that, but it is not quite clear what is the
difference between two mentioned kinds (location and thing).
A group, location or thing is a resource for SOGo - just like
it's/was stated in the Schema for representing resources for
calendaring and scheduling services
(http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-cal-resource-schema-06). When
KindFieldName equals either of these for an entry (LDAP or SQL), SOGo
considers it as a resource.
Additionally confusing for me is a group kind. In LDAP, each group
has to have a list of names, but how can we specify the users in one
group if the user source is SQL?
Once group defined, I guess, SOGo user could specify sharing
permissions (ACLs) based on the group.
This is something totally different. Groups are supported for LDAP
(for scheduling meetings, ACLs, etc.) but not for SQL.

I already setup 'MailFieldNames' and this works so far - in the composing

The problem is they all use the same name (I think it's based on the c_cn
 value) as sender name.

The online-demo of SOGo (http://sogo-demo.inverse.ca/SOGo/) shows that it's
possible to do what I want - unfortunately I'm not sure about how it's
 implemented:
 - Is it a feature of the unstable (2.0.0) version of sogo?
 - Does it only work with LDAP usage/authentication?
 - Is it kind/part of a delegation feature?
 - Did I miss some configuration parm?

 The roadmap says something about
'Email identities support in the web mail interface'
is this related to the above problem?

 http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=1158
seems to address this problem - unfortunately there's no reply so far.

Really nobody has any hint for me?

Look at the ModulesConstraints parameter in your authentication source.
You can disable the Calendar module with this (also the Mail
module), but not contacts/address books.

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.17

2012-08-13 Thread Donny Brooks
I just upgraded to 1.3.17 from 1.3.16. Now for whatever reason sogo can
not find the sogo user therefor will not pull the config. It looks like
it is trying to pull the ntp user :

2012-08-13 12:59:35.370 sogod[801] Defaults path
'/etc/ntp/GNUstep/Defaults' does not exist - failed to create it.

When it should be pulling from /home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults instead. Any
ideas why just a simple upgrade would have done this?

= ANN: SOGo v1.3.17 =

The Inverse Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of SOGo
1.3.17. This is a minor release of SOGo which focuses on improved stability
over previous versions.

=== What is SOGo ===

SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared
calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or by
using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning.

SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV and reuses
existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution easy to deploy
and interoperable with many applications.

SOGo features :

  * Scalable architecture suitable for deployments from dozen to many thousand
users
  * Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features and
the data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning
  * Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning by using the
SOGo Connector and the SOGo Integrator
  * Two-way synchronization support with any SyncML-capable devices
(BlackBerry, Palm, Windows CE, etc.) by using the Funambol SOGo Connector
  * Excellent integration with Apple iCal, Apple iOS and Android-based devices

and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free.

=== Changes from the previous release ===

New Features
  * new contextual menu to view the raw content of events, tasks and contacts
  * send and/or receive email notifications when a calendar is modified (new
domain defaults SOGoNotifyOnPersonalModifications and
SOGoNotifyOnExternalModifications)
  * added the SOGoSearchMinimumWordLength domain default which controls the
minimal length required before trigging server-side search operations for
attendee completion, contact searches, etc. The default value is 2, which means
search operations are trigged once the 3rd character is typed.

Enhancements
  * updated BrazilianPortuguese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish
(Argentina), Spanish (Spain) translations
  * all addresses from a contact are displayed in the Web interface (no longer
limited to one additional address)
  * improved Sieve script: vacation message is now sent after evaluating the
mail filters
  * updated CKEditor to version 3.6.4

Bug Fixes
  * fixed a crash when multiple mail headers of the same type were encountered
  * fixed logrotate script for Debian
  * fixed linking of libcurl on Ubuntu 12.04
  * fixed parsing of timezones when importing .ics files
  * fixed resource reservation for recurring events
  * fixed display of text attachments in messages
  * fixed contextual menu on newly created address books
  * fixed missing sender in mail notifications to removed attendees
  * improved invitations handling in iCal

New extensions for Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1 and 10 ESR have also been generated.

See http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/changelog_page.php?project_id=1 for closed tickets
and http://sogo.nu/files/downloads/SOGo/Sources/ChangeLog for the complete
change log.

=== Getting SOGo ===

SOGo is free software and is distributed under the GNU GPL. As such, you are
free to download and try it by visiting the following page :

http://www.sogo.nu/downloads/backend.html

You can also download the sources by following the instructions on this page:

http://www.sogo.nu/development/source_code.html

Frontend clients such as Mozilla Thunderbird, Mozilla Lightning (Inverse
Edition), SOGo Connector and SOGo Integrator extensions are available for
download from :

http://www.sogo.nu/downloads/frontends.html

Documentation about the installation and configuration of SOGo, Thunderbird or
mobile devices is available from :

http://www.sogo.nu/downloads/documentation.html

You can also try our online SOGo demo at :

http://www.sogo.nu/tour/online_demo.html

=== Upgrading to v1.3.17 ===

Run the shell script sql-update-1.3.16_to_1.3.17.sh or sql-update-
1.3.16_to_1.3.17-mysql.sh (if you use MySQL).
This will grow the “cycle info” field of calendar tables to a larger size.

=== How can I help ? ===

SOGo is a collaborative effort in order to create the best Free and Open Source
groupware solution.

There are multiple ways you can contribute to the project :

  * Documentation reviews, enhancements and translations
  * Write test cases - if you know Python, join in!
  * Feature requests or by sharing your ideas (see the roadmap)
  * Participate to the discussion in mailing lists
  * Patches for bugs or enhancements (http://www.sogo.nu/bugs)
  * Provide new translations

There should be a local sogo user - sogod runs in the sogo user space.

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.17

2012-08-13 Thread Donny Brooks
That is odd, I have never had a local sogo user this whole time. I have
gone back to our latest backup and none have the sogo user in any of the
/etc files. I cannot do a useradd since the user is already in ldap. Any
ideas?

Was the install modified to run in a chroot jail?

But regardless, curious why it is looking for the GNUstep defaults file in the

Re: [SOGo] New install, no sogod service on 20000

2012-08-13 Thread Eric Eisenhower
services sogod start

Not much happening in the log. I get four lines, the last one being
all the *.sogo products loaded. It does not fork a child, and must be
killed -9.

Now,
su - sogo
sogod

That works perfectly.

Ideas?

sogo.log has only a few lines about version, vmem size check and
modules loaded. Adding the obvious debug settings produces nothing.

Followed the install pdf as best I could. Ideas?

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.17

2012-08-13 Thread Donny Brooks
No modification was done. When we set it up initially we only followed
the instructions for a default install only changing the configs to work
with our existing openldap, mysql, and IMAP servers. It is odd that it
is looking in the wrong directory for the config. I even tried moving
the config to that directory but then it errors out saying it can't
write the lock file.

2012-08-13 Thread Martin Rabl

Ok, just a test, makes no harm, I think:

1. add line into /etc/group like sogo:x:hightest_free_GID:
   (before replace 'hightest_free_GID' ;-) )

2. add a line into /etc/passwd like
   sogo:x:986:hightest_free_GID::/srv/sogo:/bin/bash

Test it again - does it run?
