Re: [SOGo] Evaluating SOGo - a few questions

2013-07-02 Thread Michael Volz
Hey everybody,

just wanted to elaborate on my comment from yesterday, don't want it to
be understood in the wrong way:

On 01.07.2013 19:02, Michael Volz wrote:
I sticked to Ubuntu 12.04 and did some testing. Sadly my experiences
with the different software packages didn't change. I seldom hat
problems with SOGo or the mail part (either dovecot or cyrus), but
practically always with Samba4 or OpenChange.

This wasn't at all meant as negative critics on the OpenChange or Samba
teams or the work they accomplished. Without having dug really deeply
into it I am impressed by Samba4 and its capabilities to act as an
active directory controller for example. For me and our current needs
it's just truly sad that we don't get it running in a stable way. Could
easily be that it's because we are doing things wrong. Either way it
keeps us from using it, that's the sad part.

Michael

[SOGo] openchange_newuser script

2013-07-02 Thread Fabio Onorini
Hello sogo users.
The openchange_newuser script, with action create, extend user attributes
for using it with outlook.

The script add also 4 values for attribute proxyAddress.

proxyAddresses: =EX:/o=%(firstorg)s/ou=First Administrative
Group/cn=Recipients/cn=%(username)s
proxyAddresses: smtp:postmaster@%(dnsdomain)s
proxyAddresses: X400:c=US;a= ;p=First Organizati;o=Exchange;s=%(username)s
proxyAddresses: SMTP:%(upn)s

Are necessary all values? (Exchange add only one value per email address)
Why all users have postmaster address?

Re: [SOGo] Disable Resource Event Creation

2013-07-02 Thread Ronald J. Yacketta
Thought I would toss this out their again in case it was over looked

 All,

We have a couple conference rooms that are under construction and need to
prevent event creation, but do not want to delete them from LDAP etc. Tried
setting Authenticated and Public ACL's to None acrost the board but users can
still create events with the resource. Is this setup possible without
 deleting the resource?

[SOGo] SOGo and EAS?

2013-07-02 Thread Michael Vogel

Hi!

Are there plans to enable support for EAS? It would be cool for android
devices, since that would mean that you would need no extra software to
sync contacts and addresses.

Do you know if LDAP is mandantory? In the config it seems like this:

It's not, just activate and use the combined backend.

Now, if you manage to make it work reliably, I'm *very* interrested in
your configuration :-)

I keep having duplicate events, and contacts do not work so I'm using
carddav-sync for them.

Thanks,

new install, yet sope4.9-gdl1-mysql is already installed?

Unpacking sogo (from .../sogo_2.0.6b-1_amd64.deb) ...
install: invalid group `sogo'

somehow the sogo group wasn't created. The code is pretty simple:

if [ $1 == install ] || [ $1 == upgrade ]; then

  if ! id sogo 1 /dev/null 21; then
groupadd -f -r sogo
useradd -d /var/lib/sogo -g sogo -c SOGo daemon -s /usr/sbin/nologin -r
sogo
  fi

...

The sogo user exists and the sogo group doesn't. create it and it should just
work. On new installs, it should work since the sogo user won't exist.
