[SOGo] Username Switches to Group Name

2014-08-04 Thread Taylor Nekroze Lawson

Hello All,

This is my first mailing list so please let me know if I do anything
wrong in the way I go about this.

I have been using SOGo connected to my Samba4 domain via ldap for a
couple of months now (and loving it). I wanted to add my user groups
with emails into an address book so I added them to the user sources.

I now cannot login to the web interface because when I do the username
part of the URL becomes Group Policy Creator Owners and then it loads
the calendar and attempts to connect to my imap server with those
details which are not setup to work.

Since I noticed this happening I have removed the group listing from
sogo but it is still happening. Also tried to remove the Group Policy
Creator Owners from sogo with `sogo-tool remove Group Policy Creator
Owners` but this did not solve the issue either.

It appears that the user still works fine as I can login to the calendar
and such using a caldav client application and it all works fine but its
just the web interface that does this with only my user.

Any assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Lawson--

The web interface functions correctly. Is this a bug with
 Thunderbird/Lightning or a configuration issue?

 I'm using Thunderbird 24.5.0, Lightning 2.6.5, SOGo Connector 24.0.5,
and the SOGo server runs 2.6.6

This was discussed here erlier.
Conclusion is:
This is a limitation or Bug in Thunderbird/Lightning.
You only have the Invitation accept/decline/tentative buttons as long as
the corresponding event is not in one of your calendars.
As SOGo writes these events into your personal calendar, and
Thunderbird/Lightning synchronizes that, Thunderbird does not display
the invitation buttons.

Sorry, I do not remember, if there was a bug open in the mozilla
bugzilla or not.

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

Oh I see, this is very unfortunate. Is there a known workaround? All my

I will check their bugzilla then.

Thanks for the feedback!

Not sure what is meant here.

All of our users are on Thunderbird/Lightning, and all have the
Accept/Decline buttons when they receive invites...

Maybe your calendars are set to automatically accept invitations somehow?

No auto accepting required neither on SOGo nor Thunderbirds side.
If you are invited within SOGo, then you don't have these buttons.
If you get invited from elsewhere (e.g. from outside your domain) and
don't use the web interface, it will work as expected.

There is also a bug report in SOGos Bugtracker:

[SOGo] Sharding / Per-User SQL servers?

2014-08-04 Thread Sven Schwedas
Hi,

Is there a way to configure per-user (or by some other criteria) which
SQL server to use for user data?

SOGo seems to have the capability for it, seeing how sogo_folder_info
has fields for that, but I can't find how to configure it?

Background: We have two independent sites which need to share only very
few calendars and address books (two calendars and one address book
right now, with about one change per week in either). Master-Master
MySQL replication is too brittle, and clustering would be a bit overkill
(and so far doesn't seem to be sufficiently reliable when working over
the secondary site's 1 MBit link). We already have per-site IMAP servers
configured, we'd only need to extend this to SOGo tables.

Re: [SOGo] Invitations already accepted

2014-08-04 Thread Mat
I think that I found out what the problem is.

My users are stored on LDAP and they have multiple email addresses, for
example:

dn: uid=joshua,ou=people,dc=example,dc=com
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: person
cn: Joshua Falken
givenName: Joshua
sn: Falken
mail: joshua.fal...@example.com
mail: j.fal...@example.com
mail: jos...@example.com

If this user receives an invitation and he is invited as
jos...@example.com then everything works as expected, because this is
the main email address and the one associated with his calendar in
thunderbird/lightning.

If this user receives an invitation as one of his email aliases, then
the web interface can deal with it but thunderbird/lightning exhibits
the behaviour that I described before.

Christian, you seem to be having the same issue, are you also using
multiple mail fields per user in your LDAP setup?
