[SOGo] Installing on Debian from source

2016-01-06 Thread Pidcam

Dear all,

I'm trying to install SOGo on Debian (armbian) on a armhf processor. But
I cannot find a package. Therefore I try to install from source.

So I successfully compiled SOGo by

cd /tmp/SOPE
./configure --with-gnustep --enable-debug --disable-strip
make
make install

cd /tmp/SOGo
./configure --enable-debug --disable-strip
make
make install

Then I copied the sogo.init to /etc/init.d/sogo

But when I start I get

Unit sogo.service failed to load: No such file or directory.

Is this the right way to install? Or do I have to make a .deb package
and how can I make it?

I see a lot of files in packaging but I don't know how to used it.

Hi,

I haven't turned on debugging yet, but we experience the same issue. Maybe they
dropped support for AS?
Other clients work fine, even newest desktop Outlook.

Good day,

Why does your server returns HTTP 501?
http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E501.html

Did you succeed in any way (ie. Outlook for Windows)?

Please investigate.

[SOGo] SOGo 3.0.0b5 ActiveSync no email

2016-01-06 Thread roel
Hi everyone!

I'm trying to configure SOGo 3.0.0b5 ActiveSync. Unfortunately, email does not
synchronize.
I seem to have the same problem as reported by Marcus in
https://lists.inverse.ca/sogo/arc/users/2014-12/msg00276.html , but the
solution proposed there does not work for me.

Setup:
Cyrus IMAP 2.4.18
Apache
SOGo 3.0.0b5

Like Marcus, I see these IMAP commands:

S[0x558707dcdb20]: 3 OK Completed
C[0x558707da0a00]: 4 namespace
S[0x558707dcdb20]: * NAMESPACE (("INBOX." ".")) (("user." ".")) (("" "."))
S[0x558707dcdb20]: 4 OK Completed
C[0x558707da0a00]: 5 LIST "" ""
S[0x558707dcdb20]: * LIST (\Noselect) "." ""
S[0x558707dcdb20]: 5 OK Completed (0.000 secs)
C[0x558707da0a00]: 6 status "(null)" (UIDVALIDITY)
S[0x558707dcdb20]: 6 NO Mailbox does not exist
C[0x558707da0a00]: 7 status "(null)" (UIDVALIDITY)
S[0x558707dcdb20]: 7 NO Mailbox does not exist
...
C[0x558707da0a00]: 16 status "(null)" (UIDVALIDITY)
S[0x558707dcdb20]: 16 NO Mailbox does not exist
C[0x558707da0a00]: 17 logout
S[0x558707dcdb20]: * BYE LOGOUT received

The SOGoMailShowSubscribedFoldersOnly is set to "NO" on sogo.conf, and the
option is unset in the Webmail Mail properties page.

Perhaps related to this, I also see these messages in sogo's log:

Jan 06 14:22:12 sogod [30997]: [WARN] <0x0x558707a53ab0[WOWatchDogChild]> pid

Jan 06 14:23:43 sogod [30998]: <0x0x558707e64030[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher]>

And these sogod processes will not stop when stopping sogod, they have to be
stopped with kill -9.

The output of the sogo-tool commands is:

[SOGo] Automatic subscription to calendars for web interface

2016-01-06 Thread Jan Baumgart

Hi all,

Is it possible to automatically add calendar subscriptions to new users,
who are using the web interface?

We have three public resource calendars for room booking, which every
user should have as "default" subscriptions.

I haven't found anything in the configuration manual, so this feature is
probably not implemented.

Maybe there is a safe way for the admin to manually add subscriptions
into the sql database for every user?

Thanks & cheers,
Jan Baumgart

you can easily build your own using "the source from the official

cd /usr/local/src/

apt-get build-dep sogo
apt-get source sogo
cd sogo-2.3.5/

dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc -rfakeroot -D -d
 wait for build to finish
cd ..
# install the packages you need
dpkg -i sogo-*.deb

(Upgrading from 32bit to 64bit is not that easy, it’s recommended to
do a fresh clean install which is in my case a huge amount of work)

Thomas

32-bit is so rare to find on servers these days that SOGo team
decided to provide 64-bit packages only.
I came across this problem with other vendors too, (e.g. Dell OMSA)
so upgraded all servers to 64bit OS.

Yes - I understand that it is a substantial amount of work required to get (and
maintain) automated builds working for yet another architecture.

You can or course build your own deb packages or build SOGo from source and
install directly. Here you should find instructions about how to build SOGo
from source: http://www.openchange.org/cookbook/backends/sogo/index.html

Indeed. Still it is something which you might want to do anyway at some stage.

Thanks a lot Christian,

I have the same lines and the issue seems to be, that it cannot
find 32bit. Why is it only 64bits?

Thomas

32-bit is so rare to find on servers these days that SOGo team
decided to provide 64-bit packages only.
I came across this problem with other vendors too, (e.g. Dell OMSA)
so upgraded all servers to 64bit OS.

Best Regards
Martin.

Re: [SOGo] Repository url for Debian 8?

2016-01-06 Thread Trepper Thomas
Thx Martin - is it such a high effort to build 32bit, I always thought it’s an
automated process?

Is it possible to build by my own? (Even if it is bypassing the idea of a
repository?) Or is maybe someone else maintaining a kind of private or back
ports repository?
(Upgrading from 32bit to 64bit is not that easy, it’s recommended to do a fresh
clean install which is in my case a huge amount of work)

Thx in advance and best wishes,
Thomas
