[SOGo] Unable to login with different E-Mail address

2016-04-20 Thread "Marvin Scholz"
We've just setup SOGo and everything works fine, but we have problems
with a user that has a different E-Mail
address not matching the primary mailserver address (as configured in
SOGoMailDomain).

The message we get in the log when this specific user tries to login is:

SOGoRootPage Login from '127.0.0.1' for user 'i...@example.org' might
not have worked - password policy: 65535 grace: -1 expire: -1 bound:
0

(original address was replaced with example.org for privacy and spam
protection reasons)

As logging in to the mail server works fine with the same credentials
and the mail server users the same login db as SOGo does, I suspect this
might has to do with this domain missing from SOGoMailDomain? Is this
true?

If this is the problem, how could I solve this? (The mail server is used
for multiple domains, so being able to login not just with accounts
ending in the @mydomain.tld (primary mail server) domain as configured
in SOGoMailDomain is important for us)

Thanks in advance,

Marvin Scholz

Re: [SOGo] Sogo 2.X lifetime

I would be interested in an answer on the below too.

SOGo v2 will be maintained for months to come.
If v3 is only a change in the look of the WebUI then the
assumption is that the core behind it is the same for both v2 and v3
thus bugs not related to the UI that are fixed for v3 should also be
fixed vor v2 and vice versa, is this the correct view of things?
Most if not all core bugs are always fixed in both v2 and v3. Some new
features will only be added to v3.

Thanks,

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird integration

Hi all,
I'm successfully using Sogo and Thunderbird integration in my office
network.

What I'm acutally missing is that the Integrator allows only the 1st
account configured to be syncronized.
I have more computers and on some of them the first account is
personal, and the second is the office account.

Would it be possible to tell the Integrator/connector which account to
use? Documentation states it's not currently possible.

The integrator ALWAYS uses the first account.

What would be needed to do that? Any plan on implementing it?

Best would be to allow multiple accounts to use the integrator,
so we could for example have Company & Private SOGo Servers synch with
the same TB installation

Posting a RFE here would be the first step
http://sogo.nu/support/index.html#/bugs and sponsoring the development
would help getting it done ;)

Re: [SOGo] INBOX empty in Outlook with OpenChange

2016-04-20 Thread Martin LEUSCH

I just had to restart samba to get it working after fix dovecot.

Great!

Another strange behavior we noticed which might be helpful to others...

If you start sogod and your dovecot doesn't accept authentication from
the sogo machine ip, sogo won't attempt a second time! This means that
even if you fix dovecot, it still won't work unless you restart sogod.

Took me a few days to figure this one out.

Did you allow your dovecot to accept any password from the
openchange server ?

This is crucial because openchange/samba doesn't have the user's
password so you must allow that IP to login directly.

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a SOGo server with Samba and
Openchange support.
All working great except mail synchronization between
Openchange's
folders and Dovecot's folders.
In Outlook, INBOX is empty but there are some emails (I can
see emails
from the web interface, IMAP or Activsync) and I can see
emails sent
from Outlook in Sent folder in Outlook but not from others
sources.
There is no error reported by Outlook and logs for Apache
(for rpcproxy)
or Samba (for MAPI) seems OK.
Every things else work great.

Any ideas?
