[SOGo] Cannot update existing entries of a shared calender with CalDAV on iPhone iOS 11

Hello everyone,

 

I have the problem that I cannot change existing calendar entries or notes of a shared calendar via my iPhone. I always have to delete the entry and add it again.

 

I don't have this problem with Outlook and CalDav Synchronizer.

 

In the log I find the following lines when saving an existing entry:

Seconded. We ran into the same problem when migrating away from Zarafa, and
successfully used imapsync .

Be aware that the IMAP-server included in Zarafa isn't great. We had some
accounts with folders that the "normal" Zarafa interface could work with just
fine, but which its IMAP-server could not access. From memory, the culprit was
forward slashes. So scan the mailbox first, and eliminate the forward slashes
from any folder name.

Hello everyone.

 

I migrated a mailbox from Zarafa to SOGo this weekend.

 

I exported the old mailbox with Outlook and copied it to the new mailbox via IMAP (drag & drop) with Outlook.

 

The result looked good at first, but then I noticed that all HTML emails are displayed completely incorrectly and have a lot of blank lines in the source of the email.

 

As an example, I have an original email (Zarafa Save as eml) and a copy (SOGo Email sourcecode) in the attachment.

 

Can anyone tell me how I can avoid this?

I have now found the error. I had a typo in the field "UIDFieldName".

The only question for me is why I received the message "successful login from '192.168.146.51' for user 'Administrator'".

A better error handling with more information would be useful at this point.

If dovecot is logging nothing at all, despite your logging settings,
then my guess is that SOGo is not actually connecting to your dovecot.

Perhaps double-check your SOGo configured imap server settings. Do they
match your dovecot installation? (port, security, do the same users
exist in sogo and dovecot, etc, etc)

I just purged the sogo-common package and restart the whole system. But unfortunately there are no changes.

 

I enabled dovecot Logging with:

log_path = /var/log/dovecot.message

But I have only one line in the dovecot-info.log and nothing from the try to login via web interface:

No expert here, but this can have many reasons, I guess.

Perhaps the actual ldap authentication succeeded ("successful login")
but the subsequent imap login fails?

Or something wrong with the sogo apache2/proxy configuration?

But you need to stop looking at outlook 2010/2013 access at this stage.

First make sure that the regular /SOGo

Ah I'm afraid I have been unclear:

we ARE using on samba4, but only for the ldap functions (authentication
and ldap address book)

We are *not* using OpenChange for native outlook compatibility.

I cannot really comment about the Sogo aspects of this, but I can
assure you of this, Openchange is a dead project, it is not maintained
and I am surprised that you have managed to get it working with The
version of Samba that comes with Ubuntu 16.04, that is if it is working.

To put it another way, try starting again, but this time, do not bother
with Openchange.

For me it looks like the email address is found correctly in the server, but the internal assignment of email addresses to users does not work.

Do I need an official certificate for mail.example.com? For example from letsencrypt.org?

 

What should my hosts entry look like, because I have problems with autodiscover at Strato?

Here's my environmental data:

 

Interne "Domain/Workgroup" = fritz.box
Interner Server Name = sogo.fritz.box
Interner Server IP = 192.168.146.127
Mail Domain = example.com
Web Domain = mail.example.com

 

Do I need an official certificate for mail.example.com? For example from letsencrypt.org?

 

What should my hosts entry look like, because I have problems with autodiscover at Strato?

1) 192.168.146.127 example.com autodiscover.example.com
2) 192.168.146.127 mail.example.com autodiscover.example.com
3) 192.168.146.127 sogo.fritz.box autodiscover.example.com

Outlook only supports access to sites with a valid signed certificate,
which means no self signed ones.

- V2: 2.3.22
or
- V3: 3.2.10
