I used SOGo’s guide and it worked for now but Ubuntu will change it in the 
future. My only issue is I can’t get a connection to my MySQL database running 
on the same box. I’ve done the database configuration for Utf8mb4 and the 
database is listening on localhost but it still won’t connect.

Im wondering how are you guys importing the public key of SOGo repos in Ubuntu. 

Following this guide ( [

always find problems:

When logged into SOGo and we click Preferences the page fails to load and the 
browser console shows this error:

Which reverse proxy do you use?
Does your reverse proxy have access to all static content like icons, 
css and js files?

[SOGo] personal calendar missing in Apple Calendar after SOGOside renaiming

Hi,

One user renamed his personal calender in SOGo, and after that it dose not show 
up in apple calendar (any more).

I removed the account in apple calendar, renamed the calendar in SOGo and 
readded the account in apple calendar, but the personal calendar is still gone.

AFAIK  there was an solution for that, but I can’t find it anymore …

[SOGo] Mails with attachments not shown in SOGo

Hello!
If I receive (or place) any email with an attachment into an IMAP
folder, SOGo doesn't show it properly.
If I open it, the editor show the mail properly.

After I saved it, SOGo shows it properly.
SOGo changes the attachment.

So at least in my case, I'm running SOGO on a mail server with only 1
account. It gets thousands of messages per day.
I had to upgrade the SOGO memory size limit to 10G, it uses about 3G
according to the logs.

I was trying to duplicate the old Outlook/Exchange workflow. Add rules to
Outlook (no concern for whether they run on the server or the client) and
let them manage the mailbox on the server.
This means hundreds of messages are moved upon receipt to correct
subfolders. Messages are deleted automatically, classified as spam
automatically, etc.  Later if a message in a subfoolder is manually moved,
the expectation is that it updates the main server and all other AS clients.

As the mailbox has grown, this does not seem to work... many messages seem
to just be ignored or missed. So in a normal day, there are hundreds of
automatic alerts that come in...  probably 20 of them are moved according
to outlook, but the SOGO box does not seem them as moved.
If a message is moved in a sub-sub-folder in outlook, it does not
necessarily get updated in SOGO's view. With Roundcube running on the same
maibox infrastructure,  its view and SOGO's view are not the same. By
SOGO's view, I'm referring to the web client -- this may or may not be AS
related.

I can provide logs, or make other tests or adjustments, just need some
suggestions on where to look.

If you want to have support from Alinto if you have problems or if you
want to use their stable apt/dnf repo, you have to pay them.

Hi,

To enable by default desktop notifications add 
​
SOGoDesktopNotifications = 1;

into sogo.conf. All new users should have notifications enabled. For existing 
users, you have to set preferences with sogo-tool.

it is exactly the same for mail composition :

SOGoMailComposeMessageType = "text";

[SOGo] Error bad search string INFO when reply

Hi,

Since last Sogo Nightly Build update (on march 12), when trying to 
*reply* to some messages (a few, not all), we've got a "request failed" 
with this error :


   sogod[2147512:2147512]EXCEPTION:

We compared headers and encoding in messages (ok vs notok), nothing to 
declare here. Idea or same thing for some of you?

calendar different from the personal. It seems that free/busy works only 
with events in personal calendar.

SOGo is just a fronted. You IMAP server determines how you authenticate.

[SOGo] Creating Sieve Filter with sogo-tool

I've succesfully created a sieve filter using

sudo -u sogo sogo-tool user-preferences set defaults m...@example.com -p 
/etc/sogo/sieve.cred SOGoSieveFilters '{"SOGoSieveFilters": 
[{"active":true,"actions":[{"argument":"SASL Login 
Failures","method":"fileinto"}],"name":"SASL Login 
Failures","rules":[{"field":"subject","operator":"contains","value":"SASL Login 
Failure"}],"match":"all"}]}' 

However on the majority of occassions the sogo-tool process hangs. When it does 
complete I see this in Terminal:

When it hangs, it doesn't get to the logout step and I only see this and have 
to ctrl-c to end the process:

Interestingly it does create/update the sieve filter for the user in the 
logo_user_profile table of the logo database. 

Any ideas on how this can be rectified would be gratefully appreciated.

Now, looking at your captured error, it would appear that you have a 
problem with caching and that problem lies with memcached, because

number of v's depend on the verbosity you want) to memcached_flags in 
rc.conf and restarting memcached.

    I'd also try and give Memcached a little more RAM to use with -m 128

2. Capture these queries in it's own file by adding a specific logging 
config to /etc/syslog.conf:


!memcached
*.* /var/log/memcached.log #please touch this file!
Then restart syslogd with: kill -HUP `cat /var/run/syslog.pid`

From there, for every entry about caching in sogo.log, check for a 
corresponding entry in memcached.log.

Hopefully, you will nail the problem by deducing a solution.

This application is not maintained by SOGo team but by Generalize-IT Solutions 
OG. I think you should use https://caldavsynchronizer.org/help/issues/.
If there are issues on SOGo caldav side, you can of course open a ticket in our 
bugtracker
