Re: [SOGo] SOGO configuration

2023-09-04 Thread francois.vi...@cnrs-imn.fr

Hi Quentin,

    Here is the clarification regarding my first point:

    - when auto-reply is activated or deactivated by users for their
EMail account, an automatic EMail is sent from sogo@mydoamin to
sogo@mydomain. This address does not exist: a solution could be to
create an alias pointing to an existing one but  I 'm wondering if it's
possible to change the destination address.

    Thank you for your time. Have a good day.

François

Hi,

    I installed a new SOGo server on past July and everything works
fine except that:

    - I'm going mad looking for where I can change the destination
EMail address to which are sent the notifications of the state changes
of the autoreply of each user. Right now these mails are sent to
*sogo@mydomain* where I would like them to be sent to a dedicated
existing address (for instance not_autorep@mydomain)

    - I encounter trouble with the Personnal Address Book: I can't
edit entries, I can't even not see them by moment and I get a "Request
failed" pop-up. My SOGo version is 5.8.0-1

    Some help about these two topics would be appreciate.

    All the best,

François

Hello,
Have you tried establishing a connection using the cli command with the
user/pwd set for SOGo ie, "mysql -u sogo -p sogo -h localhost sogo"?

Just make sure you do have the database created with privileges granted
to the dedicated db user and the mysql daemon accept incoming
connections on the loopback.

If both conditions are met, you may also try using 127.0.0.1 instead of
localhost

Thanks Steve,
I believed the SQL connection should be right, cause SOGo auto create
three tables on sogo database, and I found there are three datas in
sogo_sessions_folder table.
but the logs always showed there are errors on SOGoSQLUserProfile, and
right now I can login by LDAP authenticate but nothing shows up. just
change the url from http://sogo/SOGo to http://sogo/SOGo/userid
any ideas?

Sounds like an SQL error -- perhaps the 'sogo' user and password (or grants)

I ran into something similar when I initially configured MariaDB v.10,
and I "dropped" the user, recreated and granted permissions, etc. until
I got it right. Try logging into MySQL with the user 'sogo'

It acts as though it's not "binding" the user to the database. I can't
tell you more.

Hello,
Have you tried establishing a connection using the cli command with the
user/pwd set for SOGo ie, "mysql -u sogo -p sogo -h localhost sogo"?

Just make sure you do have the database created with privileges granted
to the dedicated db user and the mysql daemon accept incoming
connections on the loopback.

If both conditions are met, you may also try using 127.0.0.1 instead of
localhost

yes, I agree . . .

R: R: R: [SOGo] sogo configuration file

2015-09-17 Thread Daniele Borini
Trying with:
su - sogo -s /bin/bash
and
defaults write sogod SOGoSieveScriptsEnabled "YES"

worked fine, it writes config statements in
/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/sogod.plist
sogo uses that configuration file which is in "XML" format:
...
SOGoMailAuxiliaryUserAccountsEnabled
NO
...

Now, i'll try to change that file for my need even if it's quite strange
we're not able to use /etc/sogo/sogo.conf.

thanks

Hello Daniele,

If you look at the Installation Guide, Upgrading section, page 61

http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf

"2.0.5
The configuration is now stored in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf. Perform the
following commands as root to migrate your previous user defaults:

install -d -m 750 -o sogo -g sogo /etc/sogo sudo -u sogo sogo-tool
dump-defaults > /etc/sogo/sogo.conf chown root:sogo /etc/sogo/sogo.conf
chmod 640 /etc/sogo/sogo.conf sudo -u sogo mv
~/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults \
~/GNUstep/Defaults/GNUstepDefaults.old
"

See if that works. Reply back to list with results.

Which version of SOGo are you using?

What does the following command give you?
sudo -u sogo /usr/sbin/sogo-tool dump-defaults

What is uncommented in your sogo.conf file?

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

The GNUstep defaults is for the old version of SOGo.
The SOGo webmin module is changing settings in the old place, in the
"GNUstep defaults" location.
The new versions of SOGo use /etc/sogo/sogo.conf text file.
Assuming you're using a recent version of SOGo, this should explain
why your settings seem to be having no effect.
You need to edit the file /etc/sogo/sogo.conf !
Try and reply to the list with your results.

R: R: [SOGo] sogo configuration file

2015-09-16 Thread Daniele Borini
I did,
firstly i dumped sogo con into sogo.conf file:
sudo -u sogo sogo-tool dump-defaults > /etc/sogo/sogo.conf

then i changed something into /etc/sogo/sogo.conf file like WOWorkersCount
from 10 to 11 and WOLogFile from sogo.log to sogoo.log.
restarting sogo with /etc/init.d/sogo restart
checked running sogo configuration with sudo -u sogo sogo-tool dump-defaults
but nothing changed from the original configuration.

The GNUstep defaults is for the old version of SOGo.
The SOGo webmin module is changing settings in the old place, in the
"GNUstep defaults" location.
The new versions of SOGo use /etc/sogo/sogo.conf text file.
Assuming you're using a recent version of SOGo, this should explain why your
settings seem to be having no effect.
You need to edit the file /etc/sogo/sogo.conf !

Hello Daniele,

If you look at the Installation Guide, Upgrading section, page 61

http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf

"2.0.5
The configuration is now stored in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf. Perform the
following commands as

root to migrate your previous user defaults:

install -d -m 750 -o sogo -g sogo /etc/sogo
sudo -u sogo sogo-tool dump-defaults > /etc/sogo/sogo.conf
chown root:sogo /etc/sogo/sogo.conf
chmod 640 /etc/sogo/sogo.conf
sudo -u sogo mv ~/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults \
   ~/GNUstep/Defaults/GNUstepDefaults.old
"

See if that works. Reply back to list with results.

R: [SOGo] sogo configuration file

2015-09-15 Thread Daniele Borini
Thank you for your reply,
we're using sogo 2.3.1-1 amd64

here's the only two lines uncommented in our sogo.conf file:

SOGoUIxDebugEnabled = YES;
SOGoMaximumSyncWindowSize = 25;

i finally found where our configuration file is, looking for a specific work
given by sudo -u sogo /usr/sbin/sogo-tool dump-defaults (i searched for
WOWorkersCount with grep -rnw '/' -e "WOWorkersCount";) I found
configuration file is /usr/.GNUstepDefaults.
now i can make changes needed, but it has been kind a treasure hunting.
 Thank you very much.

[SOGo] Sogo configuration of domains

2015-05-06 Thread syl.amado
Hello
I have two domains in my configuration :
- one with ldap
- one with entries of sql table

I would like to know if it's possible that domain with ldap can see users of
sql table but not the inverse ?
In fact entries of sql table are just for external users of my company.

If you have a idea ?
thanks

No.
You can only achieve that with two seperate SOGo instances.
In the one with ldap you add a UserSource as global Adressbook only (no
login allowed).

[SOGo] SOGo configuration file problem

2011-03-17 Thread Thomas Robers

Hello,

I installed the sogo packages provided by Inverse under Debian Squeeze.
Then I tried to to the configuration of
/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults

with the following content:

{
NSGlobalDomain = {
};

   sogod = {
SOGoProfileURL =
mysql://sogo:password@localhost:3306/sogo/sogo_user_profile;
OCSFolderInfoURL
mysql://sogo:password@localhost:3306/sogo/sogo_folder_info;
SOGoAppointmentSendEMailNotifications = YES;
SOGoCalendarDefaultRoles = (
PublicViewer,
CofidentialDAndTViewer
);
SOGoLanguage = German;
SOGoMailDomain = domain.de;
SOGoDraftsFolderName = Drafts;
SOGoIMAPServer = imap.domain.de;
SOGoUserSources = (
  {
type = ldap;
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = uid;
UIDFieldName = uid;
baseDN = ou=user,dc=domain,dc=de;
bindDN = cn=sogo,ou=user,dc=domain,dc=de;
bindPassword = password;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = SOGo Server
hostname = localhost;
id = public;
isAdressBook = YES;
port = 389;
  }
);
SOGoMailingMechanism = smtp;
SOGoSMTPServer = smtp.domain.de;
SOGoSentFolderName = Sent;
SOGoTimeZone = Europe/Berlin;
SOGoTrashFolderName = Trash;
 };
}

When I tried to start sogo I got the error:

Starting SOGo: sogo2011-03-17 14:57:55.257 sogod[8097] File NSDictionary.m:
625. In -[NSDictionary initWithContentsOfFile:] Contents of file
'/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults' does not contain a dictionary
0x0x1561600[SOGoStartupLogger] No configuration found. SOGo will not work
properly.

I googled for that error and found that e.g. a defaults write sogod
SOGoLanguage = German should convert that file into the

XML Version of that file. But that doesn't work for me. I get:

defaults write sogod SOGoLanguage = German
2011-03-17 14:56:25.593 defaults[7940] File NSDictionary.m: 625. In
-[NSDictionary initWithContentsOfFile:] Contents of file
'/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults' does not contain a dictionary
2011-03-17 14:56:25.597 defaults[7940] File NSDictionary.m: 625. In
-[NSDictionary initWithContentsOfFile:] Contents of file
'/home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults' does not contain a dictionary

And I get a .GNUstepDefaults:

?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?
!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC -//GNUstep//DTD plist 0.9//EN
http://www.gnustep.org/plist-0_9.xml;
plist version=0.9
dict
keyNSGlobalDomain/key
dict
/dict
keysogod/key
dict
keySOGoLanguage/key
string=/string
/dict
/dict
/plist

So there's no conversion of the file.

Can someone give me a hint, what to do to get .GNUstepDefaults into XML
Format?

Thanks!
Thomas
