Giving view rights to the first page is not enough. All the pages
refered to will also need rights.
There is a way to authenticate feeds by adding &basicauth=1 to your URL.
You'll need an RSS reader supporting authentication.

If you really want to make an RSS feed requiring no authentication,
you'll need to make a page without includes and you will need to remove
the call the hasAccessLevel that is used in the RSS script. Otherwise
your RSS feed will never show up anything

Re: [xwiki-users] Java Heap

2008-09-01 Thread Pavel
You definitely don't want to edit jar.

Instead, you'd want to find (or create?) batch file or shell script that you
use to launch jetty. There you can add or modify the Xmx parameter.
I haven't looked at XWiki for quite a while and can't be any more specific,
but from jetty perspective the point still stands: you find or create launch
script and modify java parameters as you need.

BTW the subject line is not the issue... Each email has a thread id so
even if you change the subject your reply will still be in the same
thread.

The solution is simply to create a new mail when you want to create
a  new mail... :)

Hello Edward,

Please, do not hijack other threads, this is a bad practice. Start a new
thread instead.
For your problem, the .sh or .bat is not in jetty/ but one level upper.
Or, you can use the JAVA_OPTS env variable, as an alternative to precise
the JVM memory allocated.

Jerome.

XWikiDocument Java class has a field updateDate and a method getDate()
which returns this field's value. Document Java class, the one accessible
from velocity, has a getDate() method (or simply "date" in velocity) that
calls getDate() on the wrapped XWikiDocument instance. I don't think there
is a "updateDate" field/method accessible from velocity.

> considered to be "content", because there is a "contentUpdateDate" too...

"content" means unparsed textual content. You can also change one
document's objects, attachments and meta data. See for yourself by adding
?xpage=xml at the end of view URL.

Hope this helps,
Marius.

I guess there is some configuration issue there.

Using the opportunity, what does the XWikiDocument.date column stands for? I
mean, what's the difference between "date" and "updateDate"? And what is
considered to be "content", because there is a "contentUpdateDate" too...

Počet: $feed.entries.size()\\

 #if($entryIndex<$feed.entries.size())
  #set($entry=$!feed.entries.get($entryIndex))

#set($fullTitle=$entry.title.replaceAll("'","\\\'").replaceAll('"','\\\"'))
  #if ($fullTitle.length()>$maxTitleLen)
   #set($myDisplayTitle="$fullTitle.substring(0,$maxTitleLen)...")
  #else
   #set($myDisplayTitle=$entry.title)

#end

{rss:feed=http://andrea4.feld.cvut.cz:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Main/BlogRss?xpage=rdf|full=true}

Here: http://andrea4.feld.cvut.cz:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Sandbox/pokus6
the result is only one item and it is wrong
but here: http://xena4.feld.cvut.cz:8080/xwiki/bin/view/Sandbox/pokus
the result is all three items, it is right.
The code is same, only differ the location of the code.
Any help?
Thanx.

So ,how to make the address fully-qualified?

Thanks.

Hi ,all.

 I have added SendPageByEmail Application, but when I sent a mail it
told me "The page has not been sent. There might be an error in the email
addresses you entered".

In the page

on) it said that

In order to work properly, it requires the following conditions to be met :

*   The MailSender

be up & running on your wiki instance

* You must have a SMTP server properly configured

* The panel has to be saved by a user with programming rights.

I have set up an Outgoing SMTP Server, and I think SMTP server work well. So
the problem maybe MailSender plugin. How to install the MailSender plugin? I
think I don't need to install it, since I use XWiki Enterprise 1.5 which has
