Hi guys,

changing border color for tables (i.e setting 00 for making them
black) has no effect on the table, when saving the document. (using
eysiwyg editor)

Cheers,
Sebastian

You need to tell us if you're using the old wysiwyg editor or the new
one (when using xwiki 2.0 syntax). The old wysiwyg editor is now
deprecated and all our effort is done on the new one.

See

for more details on choosing a syntax.

If you're sure about a bug please post on jira.xwiki.org

[xwiki-users] Change parents' name

2009-01-28 Thread MrMela

Hello everybody. I don't know if it is a stupid question but...
I hava e page, called Father and his child, Child
If I change Father's name to Dad, then Child's parent remains Father, even
if it does not exist anymore. Is there a way to automatically follow the
renaming of the page, making Child's parent become Dad, as it happens with
links?

Thank you

[xwiki-users] Page rights management

2009-01-28 Thread José Luis Esteban
Hello.

I'm having some trouble with the administration of page rights in XWiki
1.7.1.

I have a space with certain user rights.
Then I assign some rights to a different user in a page in that space,
leaving the rest of the boxes blank.
As a result, the other users lose their rights in the page. I need to
copy the marks from the rights admin to the page rights admin, so that
the space users do not lose their rigths in this page.

I've read again
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Features/RightsManagement and I
can't distinguish if this effect is this a bug or a feature.

Thank you for your help.

Thanx guys for your responses,

despite the problem that automatic switching between syntax 1.0 and
syntax 2.0 does not work here (just via deleting content and saving
empty document with new syntax setting works), with Syntax 2.0, i.e.
the new wysiwyg editor, I don't have a right-click popup menu
anymore to set table properties at all or is there a new way to do
this. Sorry guys, for my many problems, but I think these are some
very elemental Wiki features that I just can't get to work by using my
intuition. Help is really appreciated. I plan to convince my company
of using XWiki in a large style, but these features just have to work.
Many thanx.

Sebastian

At this moment you cannot change the table border using the new WYSIWYG
editor. Unfortunately, AFAIK, this feature hasn't been planed for 1.8.
You can open a JIRA issue and we'll handle it in the 1.9 time span.
Until then you can still style your table with the XWiki 2.0 syntax,
from the Wiki editor, by writing something like:

(% style=background-color: gray; %)
|= foo|=bar
|(% style=font-size:24pt; %)a|(% class=loading %)b

this. Sorry guys, for my many problems, but I think these are some
very elemental Wiki features that I just can't get to work by using my
intuition. Help is really appreciated. I plan to convince my company
of using XWiki in a large style, but these features just have to work.

We'll try to make this features available as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Marius

 Many thanx.

 Cheers,
 Sebastian

 Hi guys,

 thanx for your quick replies.

I was using wysiwyg and syntax 1.0. Wiki Code generated is:

 1: {table}
 2: 2 \\ |2 \\
 3: 2|2\\
 4: {table}

@Vincent: How can I find out, if the editor I'm using is the new or
 old one? As I said, I'm using XE-1.8M1 Revision:15566
The old WYSIWYG is enabled for XWiki 1.0 syntax (which you're using). To
try the new one you have to switch to XWiki 2.0 syntax.

 Hope this helps,
 Marius

 Sebastian

 Hi,

If you look at the source in wiki mode, what is the syntax generated
 by the WYSIWYG ?

 Hi guys,

changing border color for tables (i.e setting 00 for making them
black) has no effect on the table, when saving the document. (using
 eysiwyg editor)

PS: Should i better post to another list or preferable should i
register on your jira, and post stuff there?

Re: [xwiki-users] using links in section heading makes the section-editing function inaccessable - XE 1.8M1

Hi Sebastian,

 Hi Marius,

I'm using Firefox 3.0.5 and just tested it with IE6. It is not working
in either browser, both with any popup blockers disabled.
Could it be I'm missing something in xwiki.cfg. BTW, XWiki/1.0 syntax
appears twice in my syntax selection list.

My xwiki.cfg line concernign available syntaxes looks as follows:

 xwiki.rendering.syntaxes = xwiki/1.0, xwiki/2.0, mediawiki/1.0

 Any ideas?

I just downloaded the xwiki-enterprise-jetty-hsqldb-1.8-milestone-1.zip
from xwiki.org, unpacked, started, logged in, went to Main.WebHome and
edited in Wiki mode. I have just one XWiki 1.0 entry in the list. The
popup is showing and the conversion works fine. I'm using Firefox 3.0.5
as you. Also, I don't have mediawiki/1.0 in my xwiki.cfg.

So you either downloaded the 1.7.1 version or you did an upgrade from a
previous version.

Hope this helps,
Marius.

 Thanx,
 Sebastian

Hi Marius,

many thanx so far for all your help. I'm sure, that I'm using XE
1.8-M1-15566. So, I don't get it actually. I'm now at home and will try
tomorrow when back in the office. I'm by the way using MySQL and TomCat,
so I used the .war file, if that could possibly make a difference.

Cheers,
Sebastian

[xwiki-users] Document Information Tag Editing

2009-01-28 Thread bretteua

I am a new XWiki user and recently installed the Enterprise version and am
considering using it for a small company corporate Wiki. So far, I love
what I see and by comparison is much more user friendly then some of the
other Wikis I have tested.

But, I am having one small problem. When I am editing a document, the Tags
input box in the Document Information panel does not work. If I make any
changes in the Tags input box, they are not saved with the document.
However, if I make changes within the Tags input box in the Information tab
on a document and click the Save button, the changes are retained.

Any suggestions as to why the tags input in the Document Information panel
might not be working? I have installed the standalone version and have left
pretty much all of the defaults intact.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

[xwiki-users] Attachment name

2009-01-28 Thread Mike A.
Hi!
Is it possible to automatically change attachment name to lowercase /
uppercase when uploading it (so when using some picture, you wouldn't
need to specify it's name as a case sensitive)?
 Best regards, Mike
