[xwiki-users] Lyrebird skin (doesn't work)
Hello all, I am very enthusiast about using the Lyrebird skin. I downloaded the XAR, imported it in my wiki. But unfortunately nothing happen when I enter 'Lyrebird' in the field where we have to set the skin. Nor when I add skin=Lyrebird in the parameters of my query... Could anyone help in setting this skin in my wiki?! Thanks for your help, Nicolas ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Re: [xwiki-users] Adding link to file on local area network
file:///C:\path\to\resource\Instructions.txt that is broken path. DOS used slash for command line options instead of dash on traditional systems. So when folders were aadded to later DOs versions, they had to use back-slashes. But outside of DOS-Win-OS/2 world the regular slashes are used still. Try converting all the back-slashes into proper ones. Also read https://www.google.com/?q=backslash+string+escaping+c I think your string just contained non-printable special code as a result of wrong slashes used. -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Adding-link-to-file-on-local-area-network-tp7580466p7580483.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Re: [xwiki-users] Writing JS with Velocity
Ok, that works great. So I'm hoping to wire up this Glossary App plus the JSON to a highlighting script written in JS, the idea is that the words that appear in the glossary will be highlighted on any wiki page in which they appear. Not knowing much about velocity at all, I figured this could be implemented by parsing the body of the wiki content in search of any matching words/phrases, and mark them up with abbr tags, tooltips, etc. In order for this to work I need to be able to add some custom JS to each page on the wiki, which I am guessing I can do by modifying the skin, and using your helpful link trick to load the latest JSON into my highlighting script. Ludovic, since you are obviously intimately familiar with XWiki, is there a better (server-side) way to achieve a glossary or acronym database functionality? Again I'm looking to dynamically add links to existing wiki content based on a set of words and definitions that appear in an XWiki app. If not, the JS method should work fine but of course the parse operation has to happen on every page load, which is inefficient.
