[xwiki-users] macro content body

2013-01-07 Thread Gerritjan Koekkoek
Hi,

I'm writing a macro as described on 'Writing XWiki Rendering Macros in wiki
pages'
I've create a object of class WikiMacroClass

I fail to understand what is meant by the two attributes: Macro Content Type;
No Content, Optional or Mandatory
and Content Description. This is what's in the manual:
• Macro content type: Whether this macro should support a body or not
• Content description: A short description about the macro's content to
be displayed on the WYSIWYG editor

What is a body, can somebody give a example? Maybe good to extend the manual
also with such a example?

[xwiki-users] WYSIWYG Editor - Menubar Settings in Administration Page hidden

2013-01-07 Thread Silvio Mink
Hi,

i have tried to add new plugins to the WYSIWYG Editor, so ein added font,
color, justify and style. Because I wanted to see how it looks like i have
added the 4 new plugins to the Menubar and the Toolbar.

But after restarting xwiki, there are no new plugins in the wysiwyg editor
visible and the edit fields in the menubar of the wysiwyg-editor
administration page are hidden. Here is screenshot:

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/525/menubarxwiki.png/

I have already removed the 4 new plugins from the loaded plugin and toolbar
list - but how can i make the edit fields of the menubar visible again?

Perhaps I must edit the database directly?

My System is a Tomcat6 AS with an mysql dbms on a linux machine.

Hi,

The history tab is displayed by default in XWiki Cloud (you got me worried

You might have disabled it from the administration, in the Page Elements

Re: [xwiki-users] Special characters in pagename (URL)

2013-01-07 Thread Haimerl, Josef
Hello,

I have a related issue to that.
It's possible to name a xwiki-document e.g.

äööü´´ß09876543212+#-.,

but it's not possible to call on this one again, even not over the document
index or so. Instead I'll get

Notice
The requested document could not be found.
You can edit this page to create it.

The address-bar shows:
/bin/view/Main/äööü´´ß09876543212%2B%23-.%2C

Shouldn't be all special-characters percent-encoded?

Have solved the problem by myself.

Here the solution:

Go to /xwiki/bin/edit/XWiki/WysiwygEditorConfig?editor=object, expand the
second object XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfigClass and edit the Menu Bar text
manually.
I had to delete four nulls at the end of the Menu Bar text

Re: [xwiki-users] macro content body

2013-01-07 Thread Gerritjan Koekkoek
Hi,

If I want to have parameters to return values in a more structured way (not
directly usable from wysywig?)
do I need to create parameters (optional) since they will not have a value when
called?
Or how do I do this in these macro's? Or should I just write a macro in
velocity?

Can I call these macro's from velocity to set some variables?
My macro will now take 'first name' and 'last name' from xwiki user. I would
like to return a few results about this user, not just text (could even be a
object)

Re: [xwiki-users] Get textarea content of wysiwyg in javascript

My problem is that I get an outdate value, meaning that for example, if in
 my page I have :
 a
 b
 c
And if I write d at the end, the alert return only :
 a
 b
 c

Is there another better solution to get the text in the WYSIWYG editor ?

It depends on what type of data your validations are expecting: rich
text (HTML) or plain text (Wiki syntax). In other words, what do you
want to validate, the (rich text) content of the WYSIWYG editor as it
is on the client (HTML) or the content that is saved on the database
(Wiki syntax). If you wish to validate the source then you need to
know that:

* each page can use a different wiki syntax so you may have to write
validations based on document syntax
* conversion from HTML to source is done on the server side and thus
you have to use an asynchronous API:

editor.getSourceText(onSuccessCallback, onFailureCallback)

To get the HTML instead, you need to use:

editor.getRichTextArea().contentWindow.document.body.innerHTML

Hope this helps,
Marius

It's not clear for me what you're trying to achieve. The sheet used to
display application entries in view mode shouldn't (normally) use any
form elements, expect maybe for LABEL, but if you're using a recent
version of XWiki (3.5.2+) then http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-7868
should be fixed.

Hope this helps,

See
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/WysiwygEditor#HPluginsandFeatures
. Each plugin provides features that can be added either to the menu
bar or to the tool bar. You cannot place tool bar features on the menu
bar or the other way around unless specified in that table.

And you can also use the history of the XWiki.WysiwygEditorConfig page
to rollback to a previous WYSIWYG Editor configuration.

Hope this helps,

Re: [xwiki-users] [myxwiki] new wiki request

2013-01-07 Thread xrichard
I'm sorry, it's my mistake.

I have one more question:*the search on my new Wiki returns no results at
all whatever words I'm searching for*. The only thing I've changed regarding
search is: I have disabled dynamic results display while typing.

Is there again someting wrong I have done? How can I correct this or is it a
bug?

2 other informations :
- search seems to works on other Wiki hosted at myxwiki.org
- I yet have imported one page (thru a *.xar file) from my old cloud wiki to
my new wiki on myxwiki.org.

Best regards,

Forget my request ... search is now working . Does anyone perform an
operation on the server side? Is there an indexing job running at 23h40
(Paris time)?
