Those patches sound good. When I get back from my vacation this week,
and have caught up on other work, I'll be sure to incorporate them into
 the upcoming 5.4.14 release.

Wow - I wasn't expecting to just have them accepted without debate :)

I do think that the bigdir-backfill patch (and the dirlimits patch if you
like it) should be ported to other auth backends, but I really don't have
the experience (or time) to do those myself. Let me know if you find any
issues with them.

I had the same troubles.
I installed qmail in another location than /var/qmail. That's was the
troubles. I made a symlink (as far as i can remember)

[vchkpw] Vpopmail and domain literals

2006-01-09 Thread Simon Comeau Martel

Hi there.

I am trying to figure out how does vpopmail handle domain literals.
I saw nothing about that topic in the doc, and google doesn't return
anything useful. My Qmail+Vpopmail installation do accept mails sent
in that format ie: rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED], but I have
no idea in witch mailbox the message is going.

Anyone can shed some light on that for me ?

Thank you

dotted decimal domains in brackets are handled by
/var/qmail/alias/.qmail-whatever

it's mentioned in addresses.5 -- not sure if its more specifically
documented elsewhere.
