Re: [vdr] VDR packages in Debian and e-tobi.net

2021-12-09 Thread Karl-Heinz Volk
Nice to hear that you are planning a new repository:

vdr-plugin-streamdev-client
vdr-plugin-streamdev-server
vdr-plugin-softhddevice
vdr-plugin-rpihddevice
vdr-plugin-vaapidevice

And is it really so far away, to have a vdr for Android-TV? I own a Sony
43X8309C. 6 Years old and only usable with a Firetv-Stick...

Re: [vdr] 20 Years of VDR

2020-03-19 Thread Karl-Heinz Volk
Why not: "back to the roots" after these 20 years. VDR always worked well
with a full featured Video-Device. Problems came from softhddevice,
streaming to kodi and vlc, no rpihddevice for Raspberry Pi 4 and h.265.

If there where an Android VDR implementation which runs on an
Amazon-Fire-TV-Stick, there is a full featured video-device 4k/60p, h.264
and h.265. Perhaps its too hard to get familiar with the Android IDE and
this Java stuff. But there are other solutions. Perhaps an app from expo.io
might do the job.

Re: [vdr] Questions about good hardware to view VDR 4K

2019-05-08 Thread Karl-Heinz Volk
I just purchased an Amazon FireTV 4k stick and this is amazing. It is
working until 2160p60 consuming 1..2 Watt using an USB power supply. Why
is there no VDR for Android using network DVB sources?

Re: [vdr] Trouble with DVB-T2 on frontend 1

2017-12-12 Thread Karl-Heinz Volk
I own an Astrometa DVB-T2 stick like this and moving
/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend1 to /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 makes my vdr
2.3.8 (arch linux) running. But I do not succeed scanning for channels here
in Bremen in Germany without errors (I have a nice signal with my antenna
under the roof). With w_scan version 20170107 I get only six lines:

There is no EPG with this. I have tried to use dvbv5-scan like Marko
described but I cannot find initial files for my location.
