For Mark May your GOD be your fishing partner. Date: Fri, 14 Aug 2009 15:26:39 -0600 i'd pretty much have to agree.at least in terms of Match the Hatch fly fishing..because even the stage (nymph, emerger dun), is so important. but does the same hold true for the attractor angler? i spose to some degree it does.or perhaps to an even higher degree than the match the hatch angler. the match the hatch guy thinks he has science (nature) on his side.or that he may have done his best to figure it out, and eliminate all the negitives. But the attractor fisherman has placed his faith in only himself and decided he can entice the fish into doin' exactly as he wishes him to dointeresting contrast. [VFB] FW: for the list...........
For Mark May your GOD be your fishing partner. Date: Sat, 15 Aug 2009 04:49:57 -0600 7 hours later and it's finished.4 coats of head cement (first one Griff's Thin, then 3 more of Sally Hansen's Mega Shine) so far, and it'll prolly need a couple more. the head was almost a disaster but i saved it..not exactly what i would of wanted.but actually i think it may have turned out better the way it did that if i had succeded in having my signiture micro head...sometimes it's better to have a head more in proportion with the rest of the fly than just insisting on a tiny little head. i usually do go for the smallest head i can get.but it just wasn't possible this time...and sometimes that works out just fine. i'll post a pic asap.we've got a Sowbug meeting in the morning and it's already 5:43 a.m. i'll prolly skip sleeping til after the meeting...lol. well, at least that's outta the way and when the time rolls around..hehehehehe.no fuss/no muss. i'm gonna skip doin' one for every center piece on every table, next year.lmao. that was a one time deal. Perasonally i've never fished with a midge for any warm water species. But i suspect Gills eat 'em, along with Misquito larva, by the thousands. .Misquito.i like that. For Mark May your GOD be your fishing partner. Date: Sat, 15 Aug 2009 12:07:55 -0600 Alan.Misa and i were just thinkin' of you.we got our return rinvites to the show in INDY by email yesterday. But we probably won't be able to make it. It was fun last year and the people were VERY nice..but $$$ is tight and with hotel, gas, resturants, etc., etc...AND they still wanna charge $50 to the tyers for their table(s). So...i didn't mind payin' that once..but again...i don't think so. Looks like 2010 may be our last year for LOTS of travel and we need to save for that. And Jan. is not my favorite time to be on the road anyway. Hope they do well though, and we hope to see you here for the FFF S.C.C. in Oct. You can stay with us if you like. There's three other people stayin' already.the more, the merrier. We just got home from a Sowbug committee meeting. Everything is on track for 2010. sh, lots of cool books for raffle...hehehehehehehe.
