i'd pretty much have to agree.....at least in terms of  "Match the Hatch" fly 
fishing......because even the "stage" (nymph, emerger dun), is so important. 
but does the same hold true for the attractor angler? i spose to some degree it 
does.....or perhaps to an even higher degree than the match the hatch angler. 
the match the hatch guy thinks he has science (nature) on his side.....or that 
he may have done his best to "figure it out," and eliminate all the negitives. 
But the attractor fisherman has placed his faith in only himself and decided he 
can entice the fish into doin' exactly as he wishes him to 
do........interesting contrast.............
