Turkey biots have a leading fringe-like edge that helps get a segmented look.
Goose biots from a few feathers back from the lead flight feathers imitate this.

Hi Bob,

Yes you can. Turkey biots are much longer though (and I think a bit
thicker/stronger), so if it's a big fly you may run out of biot.

The Turkey Biot Has shades of brown and black. Just use a brown Goose Biot.
