[VFB] Spikey dubbing samples for PSQN- Jack

2019-01-21 Thread DonO
Jack,
These samples of rope-dubbed fly bodies are tied with a mixture of squirrel and
spikey hare’s mask (ears) dubbing.
On the real samples, the segmentation stands out a lot more because of lighting.

Does the pattern call for dubbing this spikey?

It also looks like the tail fibers of twisted pearl mylar flash are basic to
the pattern. (not shown)
Do you have an official pattern recipe to include with the swap info?

Also, do you have the official background story of the crawfish caught on one?
(my intro post)

THANKS!

DonO

Don

I think the spikey squirrel is just the ticket for the pink squirrel . . . .

Tight lines,
Jack

Yep Pink Squirrel is a WI pattern. I think it came out of the Driftless
Angler Fly Shop in Viroqua WI.
