Re: [videoblogging] Busted on Youse_Tube after 2 -3 years
Your safe with that in my experience. What I've had, which is annoying, is a vid kiled for 'Terms of Use' just (I guess) because there's a bit of breast in there - a performance artist called 'No Bra'. That's another 3 strikes scenario as far as I can make out, and there's no apparent avenue of appeal. There are plenty of other clips of the same girl including one from me that are still there. In the clip that was taken down she wears a leather jacket. I've seen other racier clips that merely have an 'adult' gateway. Sigh. joly On Mon, Mar 22, 2010 at 9:41 PM, John Coffey jimmycrackhead2...@yahoo.com wrote: Well, technology finally caught up and I got a notice from YT about 2 videos I posted over near 2 years ago. I always hoped that even if I added a music track under a bunch of dialogue it might not get detected but not so anymore. The good news is that YT only added a iTunes and Amazon link to buy the music which is a win win situation. Just hoping they don't pull my whole account off. Time to be more careful. Re: [videoblogging] Re: Blogger FTP Phase Out
As someone who hates coding, I hated wordpress. Unlike, say, typepad, I could not find, despite browsing THOUSANDS of them, a single theme / template that I was comfortable with, and I spent days tweaking the ones that were close to get them to work for me. After one particular version update broke a couple of my sites I just threw in the towel and went all but offline for awhile. I'm now slowly building something using squarespace, which is not free, can't be self-hosted, but for someone who wants flexibility with as little coding as possible it's kind of miraculous what you can do with it. If I move off of it, it will because I've decided to build my own completely (if I'm going to have to constantly tweak and code I'd rather just dive in, learn it deeply, and do it myself than tweak css in wordpress templates), but I'm optimistic that squarespace is going to let me live more thoroughly in my right brain and still have a site that doesn't bug me aesthetically. If I liked coding, though, I'd probably have stuck with self-hosted wordpress. Re: [videoblogging] German vloggers before 2005
I have been searching for a while but with little success. Is within our group any German vlogger who had started his vlog before 2005? The only one I could find is greenhorn and now I try to contact him via email and maybe now it works via our group... But has anyone a hint for me? Or hadn't there existed any German videoblogs before that time? Hey Jenna-- To be honest, there weren't any vloggers really anywhere before 2004. People experimented with posting video online, but Adrian Miles was the only person I found who had used a blog to post videos on any kind of regular basis. Ive never heard of greenhorn. Jay
