Thanks Richard, perhaps I'll download it once I've cleared my hard

One word of caution. I noticed that the client has the choices of
connect disconnect and exit in the file menu. If you connect
up and then decide to leave, clicking on exit does not disconnect
VEOH from the mother ship. You must click on disconnect then exit.

BTW, it's just Rich not Richard... they call me Richard when I'm bad!!!

[videoblogging] Re: VEOH.com Testimonials?

2006-01-10 Thread Mark Cyr
I'm on Veoh and have gotten a good response from TV industry type
folks about it. It is definately destined to be a more commercial
service and they are trying to attract the attention of TV industry
investors, so therefore my stuff gets seen by a new audience.
Downside is that find myself updating the postings on their site for
my video frequently as they keep going through database growing pains.

I was just wondering if anyone knew the ups and downs about using
VEOH.com. People keep telling me I should put my show up on the site
but you have to download VEOH first and I hate having to download more
 software than necessary. Any opinions?

Ms. Kitka

I asked a similar question just before you. Search for VEOH (in the
message area) and you should see the 2 responses I received. The
client isn't too bad.
The only thing I didn't like was it was constantly polling its home
location to look for downloads, etc. (Similar to the way iTunes does
it).

It did not appear to load any extra stuff, but I did not perform an
exhaustive search of my machine.

Overall it works like iTunes but does not yet have the iPod
compatibility. I noticed that Verdi, Garfield, Tiki TV and F.E.M.
are all on VEOH, so can't be all bad.

Cheers!
