Re: [videoblogging] Proposition: Official Monthly Meetup Schedule
Eh. Sorry for not catching this thread guys... I have been traveling in Thailand-Cambodia (hint -- expect at least one vlog from there... though its not going to be too sunny), and shooting my documentary on Tuktuks/Rickshaws in four Asian locations. But yes... it would be outstanding if some of you guys drop in to Mumbai. Thats where we are based... and as far as I know, we are the only videobloggers from India (if anyone denies this, please scream at us, and let us know your presence). And apart from discussing all stuff, I can introduce you to the Bombay film scene, and also maybe take you guys to a Bollywood film shoot. Heh. Does that sound enticing enough now?Regards to all,Soum (DeSoumal)On 14-Nov-05, at 10:34 PM, Christian Wach wrote: On 14 Nov 2005, at 13:26, duncan speakman wrote: oh.. and hello Christian, I wondered when you'd pop up in the videoblogging world! Re: [videoblogging] Proposition: Official Monthly Meetup Schedule
You don't have to have a Meetup that is national in scope. You can start a meetup for vloggers in your city, state, section of the country, whatever. That is the way Howard Dean revolutionized political activity during the last election. Anyone can do the same by simply organizing vloggers in their area. Putting the meeting on the Vlog Calendar would enable those who were going to be in a certain area to check out vloggers there. I know we have node101 doing some stuff, and we are themedia doing some others...We should set up a monthly meetup schedule, and it would work likethis: each month's meetup would be the last weekend of the month, andeveryone would know that a certain month would be in their city. Forexample, San Antonio could be the October meetup each year, and SantaBarbara could be the November meetup each year, and New York Citycould be the April meetup each year (coincide with vlogger con), etc.Thoughts? I think this would be a great idea to allow people to planto visit new places and prepare for meetups! Oh--and we'd all have togo to Michigan to see Josh in the summertime.:)Susanhttp://vlog.kitykity.com YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "videoblogging" on the web.
