[Videolib] Sambizanga
Hi, A faculty member has requested the film Sambizanga (1973). New Yorker Films appears to own the rights. Does anyone know if a DVD release is planned? Many thanks! Re: [Videolib] Sambizanga
Hi, I don't believe there is any format or copy available other than the 16mm print owned by The New York Public Library. We've been loaning the print [often!] with permission from the filmmaker. [Videolib] Seeking performance rights
Hello, I am trying to find the rights holders for a few titles that our film faculty will be screening: Conspirators of Pleasure The Gleaners I My Winnipeg Happiness of the Katakuris Lost in La Mancha (formerly handled by Swank) If anyone has any leads or suggestions on this, I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you! Re: [Videolib] Seeking performance rights
I have a lead for the first three that I would rather give you off list, In general I would suggest politely asking last known distributor ( if they are around) to give you contact info Jessica On Fri, Jan 23, 2015 at 5:09 PM, Robert Metrick robert.metr...@tfa.edu wrote: Hello, I am trying to find the rights holders for a few titles that our film faculty will be screening: Conspirators of Pleasure The Gleaners I My Winnipeg Happiness of the Katakuris Lost in La Mancha (formerly handled by Swank) If anyone has any leads or suggestions on this, I would be greatly appreciative. Re: [Videolib] Sambizanga
It is highly unlikely a dvd is planned. There is a small chance New Yorker could do DVD-R with PPR ( I realize you do not need PPR but they have not released home video) You should contact Jonathan Howell as Linda Duchin has left jonathan.how...@newyorkerfilms.com On Fri, Jan 23, 2015 at 2:45 PM, Anna Goslen agosl...@swarthmore.edu wrote: Hi, A faculty member has requested the film Sambizanga (1973). [Videolib] dvd/blu-ray collection data
Hi all: A faculty member at the American University Washington College of Law asked if I would find 3-4 responses to the following two questions for a student clinic research project : How much do college and university libraries spend on DVDs and/or Blu-rays (broken out is better, but any number is good) - on an annual basis, perhaps over the last 5 years (in case there’s an interesting/relevant trend)? How many DVD’s and/or Blu-Rays are held in college/university library collections (aggregate, average, whatever you have) Could you take a moment to reply to me? Tell me just the stats for your own library. I am not looking for an aggregate number for all media library, just individual library numbers so I can say Y University spends XXX dollars on DVDs, and has X # of DVDs and X# of blu-rays. I would very much appreciate it.
