2012-03-13 Thread Reichert, Allen
Hi Maureen,

One that I didn't see on the lovely libguide was http://www.jamendo.com/en/ -
they are royalty free. You'll want to look at the licenses though. The band
Tryad (http://tryad.org/) allows there music to be used commercially for free.

Friendly regards,

Hi Maureen,

Please check out this list that I created. I try to keep it as up-to-date as
possible. It's part of my Public Domain and Creative Commons library guide:

http://libguides.lib.umt.edu/content.php?pid=119432&sid=1042279

Sound recordings covered by Creative Commons licenses are on the right-hand
side. Some of the CC licenses are more restrictive than others, so user beware.

We have obtained a series of discs from FreeStockFootage.com
http://www.freestockmusic.com/

They ran a special offer recently of very inexpensive discs by theme: Battle,
Action, Science Fiction, Romantic, Horror, Blockbuster, etc.

So new to our collection they have not been used yet.
