  Have you set up the folder yet?  If not, when you create the folder, 
double-tap the text field for the folder name to turn on edit mode, double-tap 
the Clear Text button next to it, then type in the name that you want.  When 
you're finished, double-tap the Done button at the lower right-hand corner of 
your screen.

  If you're renaming an existing folder, double-tap and hold on one of the apps 
to put it into drag mode, then immediately move to the folder name file, 
double-tap it, clear its text and type the new name. Double-tap the Done button 
when you're finished.

I wish there was a way to get it. It appears that Dish Network is requiring 
access to a phone line to get Versus, or whatever they call that channel now. 
During the regular Olympics, dad and I tried to turn it on, thinking it might 
be part of the basic package we have at the apartment complex I live in, and 
the screen said something like "this channel is available for free, please wait 
while something or other downloads", and then it said it was trying to dial 
out, which it obviously can't because I have no landline service.

I am looking for a detailed tutorial for the I pad mini Logitech M1 ultra
thin  folio keyboard. All I can find so far is the  IOS function key list
for the top row of keys. I want something more detailed like I had for the
mini quirty kb I used with my old I phone. Any help about where to find this
is greatly appreciated.

You can ask Siri, "Where am I?"
I believe the Sendero Look Around app is now free.
It is supposed to tell you the nearest intersection and nearby points of 
interest.
There are probably others.

What street am I on

Greetings. Looking for a simple app to tell me what street I am on. I
know that full featured GPS apps can tell me this, but I don't need
something that complex. Just looking for something I can use on the
bus to tell me the major streets we turn on. If the app were free or
low cost that would be awesome. Also, if the app could give nearby
intersections that would be great too.

Hi Laurie, 

I will give this a shot. No pun intended. The app allows you to set up 
distribution lists like in Outlook. If you have the Pro version, you are not 
limited to the amount of emails in a group list. I would need to take a look at 
it again for you to get the specifics on how to set up a distribution list. I 
guess one could add or separate each email address in the native mail app to 
send an email to several individuals, but it 's nice to be able to type in the 
groups name and have it ready to go in a flash. I'll repost after I take a look 
at it again. Oh by the way, I never purchased the Pro version, but I was 
limited I believe to 5 different email addresses in one list (I think).

iPod 4th gen, VoiceOver and which iOD version?

I just happen to get an older iPod Touch 4th generation to play 
around with. I use VoiceOver. It currently has iOS 5.1.1. It is 
prompting me to update to iOS 7. Do I recall that a 4th gen won't 
even allow that? And, if I update to iOS 6 is VoiceOver too sluggish 
in your opinion?

App for paralympics Coverage in US without Cable?

Hi, all,

I have my doubts about this, but just thought I'd ask. Is there an app 
available for streaming paralympics coverage in the uS without cable? I believe 
NBC network has got it all locked up so that you have to sign in with a cable 
TV account to get their live stream. Paralympic site is a no go, it seems, 
unless I'm missing something. the youtube channel is also blocked in the US. so 
is BBC Channel 4.

Something that can always be helpful, is use item chooser.  2-finger 
triple-tap, then search for play.  I just tried this inside the Netflix app and 
was brought right to the play button.

Once you begin your movie/tv show, your phone goes into landscape mode.  Along 
the bottom will be controls to interact with.  The scrubber for 
rewinding/fastforwarding moves left & right.

Banners display for a little while and then go away. Badges are a little extra 
information near the app name, such as the number of unread messages in email. 
Alerts display a dialog that you have to dismiss with the ok button.

What is the name of the Netflix app for the Mac? As far as the app for iPhone 
is concerned, if you double tap on botto or sides and hold, you can move the 
shows into view. From there it is simple with seasons at bottom of screen and 
episodes once you use picker for the season. Alternatively you can tap the 
button unnamed in the left-hand corner of the screen and it will show types or 
categories of shows. Not sure how to spell the word, but obvious, and I will 
look it up shortly, good scrabble word! LOL. So when you enter that category, 
you can search on the middle of the upper part of the screen close to the ear 
slit. Then you can proceed as before. I hope this might take some of the 
anxiety out of using the app.

question for myself. On the website on the Mac, how can I stop the episodes 
from just starting another episode when the first is done? Thanks for the help, 
and I hope I made my answer clear.

I thought iphone owuld be easier, i located a show someone is watching and 
wanted to play it, i double tap it but it does not start playing nor can i find

I have not tried the Overdrive audio books but would it be possible to
convert them to mp3 or m4a with a file converter such as Switch?  There are
several good programs for playing mp3 or m4a books such as Audio Book and
Podcast player. .  I listened to them all the time before the BARD app came
out and used Switch to convert the ones in WMA format to mp3 or m4a.

WMA is a Microsoft proprietary format, just like AAC is an Apple
proprietary format, so you won't be able to play WMA files on your
iPhone, just as you couldn't play AAC files on the old Zune from Microsoft.

I don't believe File Sharing supports folders.  I believe you can only transfer 
to the main application, not subfolders within that application.

I have downloaded certain BBC plays on my Iphone using downcaste which
I want to transfer onto my PC.  I am using Windows 7 64 bits and when
I connect my Iphone 4 S and check apps I get to a point where I get
the apps that allow file transfer.  Downcaste is one of them but when
I press tab, it says "downcast documents" but does not read the
different podcasts but even if I guess the initial letter for drama as
d and then select a folder to save the dramas the application crashes.
 Is there any solution for this?

Did you turn on the mute switch by mistake? If you did  push the switch up on 
the side to  unmute the sounds.

Problem with sounds on my phone

Hello everyone,

I am hoping that someone on here, may be able to help me.
I have a 4S, and it was working perfectly.
However, within the last few days, all it does is vibrate when I get a call, a 
text, or when I plug it in to charge it. I don't understand why this is 
happening.

At first, I thought it had to due with the battery being so low. But this 
wasn't the case. I tried shutting it off, and restarting it. But this hasn't 
solved the problem either.

What could be going on?
When I look in the settings, under sounds, the volume is at 60. I set it to 80, 
to see if this might make a difference. It did not.

Any help with this problem would be very much appreciated.

Switch is from NCH. Here's a URL to more information on Switch: 
http://www.nch.com.au/switch/ This will work for WMA files not using 
DRM. As someone else said, if you're talking about WMA files with DRM 
then Sound Taxi will do the trick.

I have not tried the Overdrive audio books but would it be possible to
convert them to mp3 or m4a with a file converter such as Switch?  There are
several good programs for playing mp3 or m4a books such as Audio Book and
Podcast player. .  I listened to them all the time before the BARD app came
out and used Switch to convert the ones in WMA format to mp3 or m4a.

WMA is a Microsoft proprietary format, just like AAC is an Apple
proprietary format, so you won't be able to play WMA files on your
iPhone, just as you couldn't play AAC files on the old Zune from Microsoft.
