Hi Cathy,

 

I haven't tried this from an iPhone, but if you created a folder for your
friend on your PC, just right click on it and select the option "Share this
Folder."

Your web browser will open and you will have 2 edit fields, the first is
where you would put your friends email address, the second is for a message
which is optional.

This is also a checkbox which I believe is checked by default, it says
"Allow members to invite others". If you leave it checked, then somebody you
share the folder with can invite others to share the folder as well, but I
think whoever created the folder and who is referred to as the "Owner" still
has to approve these invitations.

Anyhow, once you entered your friends email address (make sure it's the one
he or she uses for their Dropbox account) you click the "Share Folder"
button. Your friend will get an email with a link called "View on Dropbox".
Once he or she clicks on that, a web page will open where they have to
accept the invitation. Once done the folder will automatically be added to
their Dropbox folder as a subfolder and anything you put in it will sync to
their computer and vice versa.

 

When you first right click on the folder you want to share there is also a
menu option called "Share Dropbox Link". Don't use this option, as it will
only put a link to the folder into your clipboard. You could paste that link
into an email and mail it to somebody, but I think while thiat person can
then see the contents of the folder, it does not become a truly shared
folder.

I decided to get drop box so I downloaded it on my computer.  Then I got the
app for it and put it on my i-phone 5.  I set up the accounts both on the
computer and i-phone.  I created a folder and choose to share my folder.  I
was told that you can set up folders for my friends and they can do the
same.  When I shared the link, we can not figure out how to have the folder
to show up in the other person's drop box and of course my folder that she
created for me is not showing in my drop box.  I tried to do this on the
computer and the phone.  Please some one please help.  If this is not
something we should talk about on the list because it is also a computer
issue as well as an i-phone thing, please some one e-mail me privately and I
we can try and figure out all of my questions.  I thank you all in advance.

I kind of made it work by turning on the nat option for the extension 
serving the iPhone on the PIAF side, but for whatever reason, this isn't 
needed on the one on the PC side. The other thing that really seems odd is 
that Groundwire seems to require that whatever sip server you use support 
anonymous sip calls, otherwise the logs show the server rejects the outgoing 
calls as unknown. I want to find a way to have it function with this turned 
off because I don't particularly like the hangups from random 3 to 5 digit 
numbers. Maybe groundwire puts a second sip proxy between you and the one 
you are using, so the server thinks outgoing calls should be forbidden from 
the unknown middle man.

Hi there. For mostly the fun of trying it, but maybe to fill a need I may
have in the future to need to be able to make a call from either cellular or
wifi, I followed this tutorial on nerdvittles to put PBXinaflash on a
DigitalOcean VPS. Everything seems to be working like a champ from the
phoner program on the PC, I can call anywhere I want, and it sounds good.
However, I created an extension on there for the iPhone with Groundwire to
log on to. It registers up just fine, but if I make a call from it, it
either takes me to the demo menu the ssystem has, or I experience one-way
sound on Groundwire in the transmit direction. I thought I might've messed
something up adding the account for the iPhone to use, so I logged out on
there and tried the same account on the PC side, and it worked good there,
so it's not the account. I thought maybe this setup might just be
problematic on Sprint 3G, so I connected the phone to wifi, and shut down
the client on the Pc, and low and behold I get transmit direction only using
Groundwire on Wifi. I don't have a tethering plan to test 3G from the
computer client, but I would guess Sprint may not be the issue either
because I would expect calls to be flawless, like on the PC, on wifi if that
were the case. What seems to be the problem with Groundwire that makes it
not work where PC clients work fine? I've never heard of anything like there
where one type of client works great, but this doesn't. Is there some
setting that can fix this, or did they let Groundwire go by the wayside, and
it depends on something at Acrobits' end to work properly?

The only thing that shows up when I do that search is something called Toolbox 
for Pages. I mistakenly down stalled it when I meant to reinstall Pges.app. 
After mistakenly installing Toolbox for Pages...I could no longer download and 
install Pages.

Pages after upgrading to Mavericks

Recently upgraded to Mavericks. Did a clean install. All went well. No 
troubles...but one. Can't find where the Pages app is installed. It isn't in 
the Applications Folder. Where did it go? It exists on my Mac Pro. It opens my 
documents previously created with Pages. But, I can't find the app anywhere. I 
want to have it open a .rtf file...if that's possible. But, the pages app isn't 
showing up as I browse my folders. Any suggestions?

Sound Notifications?

Is it possible to assign game and app notifications their own sound?  I'm 
interested in assigning a news tv station in my area a sound so I will know 
there is a news alert.

My next question is, is there a setting in voice over that will allow a

would be worth snapping up a few of them.

Subject: How do I solve problems with Groundwire on 4S?

Hi there. For mostly the fun of trying it, but maybe to fill a need I may
have in the future to need to be able to make a call from either cellular or
wifi, I followed this tutorial on nerdvittles to put PBXinaflash on a
DigitalOcean VPS. Everything seems to be working like a champ from the
phoner program on the PC, I can call anywhere I want, and it sounds good. 
However, I created an extension on there for the iPhone with Groundwire to
log on to. It registers up just fine, but if I make a call from it, it
either takes me to the demo menu the ssystem has, or I experience one-way
sound on Groundwire in the transmit direction. I thought I might've messed
something up adding the account for the iPhone to use, so I logged out on
there and tried the same account on the PC side, and it worked good there,
so it's not the account. I thought maybe this setup might just be
problematic on Sprint 3G, so I connected the phone to wifi, and shut down
the client on the Pc, and low and behold I get transmit direction only using
Groundwire on Wifi. I don't have a tethering plan to test 3G from the
computer client, but I would guess Sprint may not be the issue either
because I would expect calls to be flawless, like on the PC, on wifi if that
were the case. What seems to be the problem with Groundwire that makes it
not work where PC clients work fine? I've never heard of anything like there
where one type of client works great, but this doesn't. Is there some
setting that can fix this, or did they let Groundwire go by the wayside, and
it depends on something at Acrobits' end to work properly?

After you choose, either song or artists, then you have to choose a genre, 
such as Christmas, Country, etc. Once you do this, the first song will begin 
to play. You have 30 seconds to pick the one you think it is by using the 
multiple choice answers given. You then learn if you were correct or 
incorrect by looking in the top left hand corner. . To play the next song, 
find the next button and double tap it.

I like the Klipsch IGroove speaker dock. It's not real big, and I was able 
to get it on Woot for $70 to $80 about a year ago. This was probably about 
half off what it originally retailed for, so a pretty good deal. I don't 
know if they make one with the new lightning connector, or if there are 
adapters to make it work with the iPhone 5 and later. That's part of the 
reason I've kept the 4S going as long as I have, despite being eligible for 
an upgrade again. It does have an auxiliary line in, but then one is 
potentially looking at having to unplug 2 cables when a call comes instead 
of just grabbing the phone off the dock.

HI. I used the original TweetList and also bought TweetList 4 when it
was offered as the upgrade to TweetList. I use TweetList 4 all the
time and love it. I don't think they have done an update recently, but
they said at the time that the "new" version would allow them to offer
more support in iOS 7 to TweetList 4. Though there are other Twitter
clients out there, some that are free, I like how I can use TweetList
4 to interact with tweets, the layout of the app, and for other
reasons.

You need to enter your pin as  quickly then press the Pair button in the 
upper right of the iPhone.


DEo you have the BrailleSense in terminal for screen reader mode and did you 
go into Settings, Accessibility, Voiceover and try pairing with the Braille 
display from the Braille Devices area?

I am having difficulty pairing my braille sense plus with my iPhone. I get 
all the way to the step of entering my pin, and no matter what combination 
of numbers I enter, I get an error message saying that the pin is incorrect.


For other bluetooth devices, there is an option to forget the device and 
start the pairing process over. However, I do not see that option for a 
braille device. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the nike+ipod app can you get speed on how fast you are going? I don't 
care about accuracy as long as it's off by the same amount each time. I'm 
looking for a baseline so I can determine weather I am increasing my speed 
on a tredmill over a set of workouts.

Two different apps a water drinking app and Pedometer app Pacer isn't working correctly I think any help appreciated thank you

water I have drank has anyone used a Water app to keep track of how much water

Pacer app it doesn't seem to track my steps correctly when I use it does this 
happen with all Pedometer apps. I am using this app with my elliptical trainer 
as well as walking. Again any help would be greatly appreciated as I would

Hello Mark. In version 4.3.2 the date field is an edit box. I typed 07/15 and 
it worked. After saving your card info, all of the info is accessible with 
Voiceover. The three digit verification code is concealed. To reveal it just 
double tap the verification field, flick right to the Reveal button and double 
tap it.

I am wanting to know how to use drop box on the i-phone

Hi:
I decided to get drop box so I downloaded it on my computer.  Then I got the 
app for it and put it on my i-phone 5.  I set up the accounts both on the 
computer and i-phone.  I created a folder and choose to share my folder.  I was 
told that you can set up folders for my friends and they can do the same.  When 
I shared the link, we can not figure out how to have the folder to show up in 
the other person's drop box and of course my folder that she created for me is 
not showing in my drop box.  I tried to do this on the computer and the phone.  
Please some one please help.  If this is not something we should talk about on 
the list because it is also a computer issue as well as an i-phone thing, 
please some one e-mail me privately and I we can try and figure out all of my 
questions.  I thank you all in advance.

Problem with personal hotspot

I have an iphone 5 and an iphone 5S and am on Verizon. On the iphone 5 I have a 
personal hotspot button and can turn personal hotspot on and off. But on the 
5S, I have no hotspot on and off button and when I go to celular I have a 
button to set up personal hotspot and it tells me to go to the web or call 
verizon to set this up. But both phones are on the same account and personal 
hotspot should be included. I called verizon and the rep said it was enabled 
and to turn my phone on and off which I suspected was not going to solve the 
problem and sure enough it didn't. Any suggestions before I call Verizon back 
and tell them the problem is on their end.

Another similar game to check out is one called Song Guru. The buttons
are better labeled, though not perfect. I am able to tell what they
are in any case. The game is $1 or $2 in the U.S. app store. I don't
think you can play with others on the web, but it is still fun to play
and challenge yourself.

me neather I downloaded the game but couldn't get tyhe hang of it the buttens 
didn'tseem that well labled and so after a wile I just deleated it. I might how 
ever re try it again if some one put's out a walk through or something on how

What happened is this. When iOS7 came out, Tweetlist was completely
re-designed, and all that work won't pay for itself. So, like other
companies, the developers asked everyone to pay again, essentially selling a
new app with all the same functionality but a new, iOS7 look. They then
pulled the original version, which is why, to you, it looks like you are
being charged again. Technically, you are not; you are paying for an
upgraded app, and the original you bought a while ago is no longer
available. I hope this explains things.

How do you go about entering the expiration date and CV/security code?  As I
understand it, just as in my old version of the app, the expiration date is
a ticker that must be manipulated.  

More importantly, after the info is entered, are all the fields of the card
able to be read by VoiceOver should you need to retrieve them?

Back when I was beta testing the original version of 1 Password, the
developers were extremely careful to make all aspects of the app VoiceOver
accessible.  I wonder if anyone, using the current version of the app, has
