Re: New Facebook app update brings no improvement

2015-05-08 Thread Jeffrey Shockley
Hi,
The notifications are fixed, and can be accessed. This was broken in the last
update but it is fixed now.
Double tap the “Notifications” button. then, find where the word
“Notifications” is on screen close to the top. Then, do a two-finger double tap
on that, and the notifications will come up.
Hope that helps,

braille display and the rotor

2015-05-08 Thread Eden Kizer
Ok, either I am doing something incredibly wrong or something is incredibly
broken on one of my devices. I use a braille sense on hand with an IPhone 5
running 8.3. I attempt to use the rotor to do do such things as close things
in the app switcher, and it just won't move. Rotor won't change in any
environment. I have powered down both the phone and braille sense, and I am
still having this issue. Can anyone advise?

Re: braille display and the rotor

2015-05-08 Thread Scott Davert
Hi Eden.
Have you tried changing the rotor with speech turned on, and it's
still not working? Sometimes, braille fails to show the rotor
announcement and the only way to fix it is to turn speech on and then
back off again. I assume you are using space with dot 6 or dot 3 to
move within that setting, and space with 5-6 or 2-3 to change what
element you are navigating by?

That did indeed do the trick with notifications. I don't know why you should

I just signed up for the Southwest app. I entered my name, address,

nothing happens until 24 hours before flight time when I check in on line. I
have heard it said your boarding pass will show on the lock screen. Does it
show after checking in? Do I just hit the power key to show the boarding
pass or do I also have to tap Unlock. Or do I have to unlock the phone and
open either the Southwest app or Passbook.

I would guess it works the same no matter the airline.

Thanks for clarifying how this works.

Pandora update

2015-05-08 Thread Mary Otten
I see there is an update to Pandora in the App Store. I have not been using it
lately, so my subscription has in fact run out. But for those who are
interested and have been having problems, they mentioned squashing bugs but
they don't say specifically anything about voiceover.

Re: Boarding Pass/Passbook

2015-05-08 Thread Kimber Gardner
After you check in your boarding pass is on your phone. What I did was
open the app where my boarding pass was then lock the phone so that
when I unlocked the pass would come up right away. The TSA agent will
scan the barcode right off the phone. Just make sure you don't have
your screen curtain on when you hand over your phone.

I just signed up for the Southwest app. I entered my name, address,

My question is how do I use this to get through the airport. I am assuming
nothing happens until 24 hours before flight time when I check in on line.

Skype very important, please help

2015-05-08 Thread Nancy Badger
Hello,
I have to do a job interview on Skype. Can anyone tell me where it is the most
accessible way to do it? Should I use my Mac, or my iPad? Any tips or
instructions would also be helpful.
Thanks
